For those of you who may still be skeptical about the strength of this storm, I wanted to share some comparisons of wind speeds from past storms:

- Storm Ophelia: The highest gusts reached 156 km/h, with mean wind speeds of 115 km/h.
- Storm Debbie: Recorded gusts were 181 km/h, with mean wind speeds of 122 km/h.
- The highest recorded wind speed in Ireland was in Foynes in 1945, with gusts of 182 km/h and sustained winds of 131 km/h.

This storm has the potential to be as severe, if not worse, than some of these previous storms.

Please prepare for the worst, as significant damage is expected. Remember the saying: "Fail to prepare, prepare to fail."

Enjoy the spectacular scenery the west of Ireland has to offer and visit world famous locations such as The Aran Islands, The Cliffs of Moher, Killarney National Park, Di**le Slea Head Drive, Bunratty Castle, and The Burren. Happy Halloween from the Burren in County Clare! It might be advisable to avoid some of our most haunted sites tonight, including this one...... Leamaneh Castle, home to many generations of the O'Brien family between the 1480's and the 1790's and also to the infamous Maire Rua or Red Mary. If these walls could talk, they would tell many the tale of woe from over 300 years of the castles occupation!
