Carrigaholt is not only a hub of natural beauty and community spirit but also a place of cultural significance. Once part of the West Clare Gaeltacht (Irish-speaking region) until 1956, the area’s history runs deep. Though the local Irish college closed in 2017, there’s hope to see its historic building revived, along with the preservation of Carrigaholt Castle.

Getting here is easy—Shannon Airport is the closest major airport, with plenty of public transport and vehicle rental options to make your journey smooth! 🌍💚
