The club has evolved over time into what it is today, one of the top social angling clubs in Donegal. Our policy is to make fishing fun, and to make it accessible to as many people as possible. So you won't just get a day's fishing with us - you will also enjoy meeting fellow anglers who are friendly and will offer good advice on fishing or just relaxing company and conversation if the fish aren't
biting. Our wild trout can be up to 4 pounds or 2 kg and are tremendous fighters. The lake is shallow, about 4 metres at its deepest, but trout can be taken in any part. The few rocks that are present are marked, but it's wise to be careful. We have recently acquired a new clubhouse on the Lough Fern shore, which we plan to develop in the medium term. The club and clubhouse extend a hearty welcome to local and visitor alike. The clubhouse is located on the North Western shore of Lough Fern, off the Kilmacrennan-Milford Road (R246) about 3 Kilometres from Milford Town. The head office of the club is located at Enterprise House in the Diamond area at the top of Milford Town. Keys to our lake boats are available from either of the two locations above. Outboard motors, while a help, are not essential. As the club does not provide engines other than by prior agreement, visiting anglers may bring their own if they so wish. One of our boats (17') may be booked on-line through the Donegal Angling Holidays website - a maximum of two rods is allowed on the boat.
