The excitement is building and tickets are selling fast so get a gang together and join us for a great night out. Last year we had almost 200 attend from far and wide and the only complaint was the dance floor was too small! 💃 🕺

Well done to all our members who competed at the National Hunter Trial Championships over the weekend in Hillcrest. 👏

Huge congratulations to Eabha and India who came 6th overall in the u12s at their first ever Hunter Trials. A big thanks to their instructor Jo Breheny for all the great training over the last few weeks. 😊

In addition Aerin jumped a lovely clear in the Juniors and Oliver Ormond enjoyed his first Hunter Trials being taken around the course safely by the wonderful Jazz. 🐴

The club would like to mention our dedicated committee member Amanda Tracey who gave so much of her time over the weekend volunteering and helping out wherever was needed. We are so grateful for all your hard work and expertise 🙏

What an amazing weekend for our members at the National Tethrathlon Championships, full on days packed with not only competing but a great socialising schedule too!

🏆 A massive congratulations to Darragh who was on the winning team in the senior international 🇮🇪 and also came in the top ten individually 👏

In addition our Junior girls did great coming 12th out of 43 teams, well done to Matilda, Aerin and Aoibhinn 👏

🥇 Congratulations to our fantastic John Ledingham team who won the ‘Horsemanship cup’ at the National Festival in Barnadown. 🏆 Hannah, Clodagh, Joanie and Lilymai also came a very impressive 4th overall and by the looks of it had a great time celebrating their successful day. 👏

And well done to our Robbie Bailey team who unfortunately had a few poles down but gained valuable experience, a special shout out to Matilda for making it through to the individual jump off.

Waterford Pony Club would like to say a huge thank you to all those involved in running the festival this year, it is a huge undertaking and takes many volunteers, we are truly grateful for the wonderful experience our members have had over the last three days 🙏

A huge congratulations to Julie McDonald for coming second overall in the Junior Combined training 😃 Julie also got through to the Dressage ride off coming in 7th place overall and the 2nd pony overall.

Well done to our Pure Dressage team consisting of Mia, Clodagh, Alice and Julie for representing WHPC today, we are delighted to have so many of our older club members competing at the festival this year.

What a great time our members had at the Pony Club Festival in Barnadown the last two days. Ella Mai and Eoin competed in the U10 Combined training, both enjoyed the experience and Eoin proudly came in fifth place overall 👏
We had two teams competing in the Alice Mernagh, the WHPC Diamonds and the WHPC Starlets which despite confident riding and many clear rounds unfortunately had a few poles down leaving them out of the ribbons.
All our show jumpers would like to thank Michael and Martin for all the time and effort they have put in over the last few months preparing our members for the qualifiers and the festival, we are very grateful for your help.

Congratulations to Joanie Walsh on Grantstown Rose Tattoo winning the Intro Intermediate in Grove last Sunday. Ribbons also for Breffni Walsh and Sofia Delfino in the U'12s. Thanks to Tipperary Hunt Pony Club for a wonderful day out that 12 of our members got to enjoy.

Camp Day 5.
From our youngest member at 5 years of age to our oldest at 17 years of age everyone had a really great week at camp this year. The final day was filled with the Combined Training dressage, the Laura Breheny Dressage, BBQ, D tests, Handy Hunter, BBQ, presentations and the biggest fancy dress parade the club has ever seen. Thanks to each and everyone of you for making it such a special week.

Congratulations to Lillymai Walsh for winning the senior combined training and taking home the Clodagh Curran memorial cup.
To Grace Keena who won the Junior cup, to Eabha Power who the u12s, Ellen O’Gorman who won the U10s and most importantly Penny Toomey who won the Handy Hunter. 😊

All weeks Tara’s group of girls have been building up the courage to jump the spookiest fence on the XC course, The Cottage! Today was the day and with lots of encouragement from each other each one of them cleared it in style, great achievement for these young girls.

Camp Day 3. Thanks to our DC Paul O’Connor for taking the kids for a hack to the beach - nice break for kids and ponies 😊 This was followed by a fantastic lunch and play at the Coppercoast Mini Farm. What lucky children!

Camp Day 2. Lots of fun on the XC course from our minis up to our most experienced members. Dressage arenas have been busy in use and a big focus on stable management for all ages at camp this year.
