What a Day in West Cork!
Wednesday, May 21st gifted us with glorious sunshine and bright blue skies – the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable day tour from Castlemartyr Resort to Mizen Head.

We began our journey through the lush countryside at 9:00 AM, with our first stop in the charming town of Clonakilty. A relaxing stroll, some local coffee, and a peek into history at the Michael Collins House set the tone for the day.

Next, we headed to Bantry, where the harbor sparkled and the vibe was vibrant – a great spot for a light lunch and a wander through the market.

The highlight? Mizen Head Visitor Centre – Ireland’s most southwesterly point did not disappoint! Towering cliffs, sweeping Atlantic views, and a thrilling walk across the iconic bridge made it a truly breathtaking experience.

On our return, we paused in picturesque Schull, soaking up the relaxed harbor atmosphere with ice cream in hand and toes nearly in the water.

We arrived back at Castlemartyr by 7:00 PM – a day full of laughter, beauty, and sunshine we won’t soon forget.
