๐ฌ The Silver Moon by Silversea Cruises offers an ultra-luxurious cruising experience, with a focus on sophistication and service. Launched in 2020, this ship carries just under 600 passengers creating an intimate atmosphere complemented by an exceptional crew-to-guest ratio. The suites are all ocean-view and provide a blend of elegance and comfort, featuring marble bathrooms, walk in wardrobes, butler service, and fine linens. A special mention for our butler Errol who took care of us so well during our stay.
One of the highlights of Silver Moon is the S.A.L.T. (Sea and Land Taste) program, which gives guests immersive culinary experiences inspired by the regions they visit and the S.A.L.T. bar in particular was our favourite setting and service. The dining options are superb, ranging from Italian specialties at La Terrazza to fine French cuisine at La Dame (do book in advance as we couldn't secure a reservation), with exquisite dishes and a variety of global wines. Onboard activities emphasize relaxation and enrichment over high-energy entertainment, with options like cooking classes, wine tastings, trivia and informative lectures. We were hesitant at first to join in but made some great friends in the process.
The gym and spa area were fantastic and could rival any on land luxury spa resort. With state of the art Technogym equipment and a range of treatments to choose from, guests will find themselves in a state of bliss in no time. We also loved relaxing in the sauna and steam room with our porthole window to the vast ocean to keep us entertained.
Another special mention for Marilyn and Joker, our bartenders at La Dolce Vita for their incredible service, lovely conversation and cheers when we won the trivia game.
