We have installed a charger for electric vehicles at the cottages. No need to worry about how you make it home now :-)

We've always tried to limit our impact on the environment at Croan and were ahead of the curve in most initiatives from recycling to sourcing renewable power.
Well now we're even generating our own clean electricity! We've installed Solar Panels on the roof of every cottage to generate power and to heat the water in the cottage.
For the geeks, each cottage can generate up to 3.2kW. Even today, at the end of September, we've generated over 40kWh for use here and to feed into the grid.

Once a year, the Labyrinth on the lawn needs to get cut for hay. This helps feed the animals over winter and by taking off the grass each year, we make it a little weaker so the wildflowers have a better chance to thrive.
If we didn't cut it, the grass would just flop over and the path would be impassable.
