We are currently aware that a lot of Muslims in Ireland who are already registered with us and who are currently interested in going for Hajj 2023 -1444 are waiting on package details and pricing.

The Saudi Hajj bodies have still not released this information to us nor to other Hajj operators worldwide. This year the Ministry of Hajj has changed the process of how a tour operator can organise its Hajj package (this does not apply to our Umrah packages).

Similar to you, we are also eager to find out more about the Hajj packages that they have yet to disclose. The matter remains in their hands as to when Hajj package details will be released to us so that we may share it to the public. We can assure you that our team are doing as much as we can to get more updates from them.

**Hajj 2023/ 1444 Announcement**

Asalamu Alaikoum Dear Brothers & Sisters

As the Hajj season is approaching, the Ministry of Hajj in Saudi Arabia has announced the re-commencement of Hajj 2023 for pilgrims worldwide.

Atlantic Sky Team Tours are very pleased to announce that we will be facilitating this year’s Hajj for pilgrims from Ireland in line with new MOH guidelines. At present we are setting up our Hajj packages alongside our highly competent and reputable Saudi partners. As a team, we are extremely honoured and humbled to continue our mission of serving the guests of Allah & making this journey of a lifetime as meaningful and as memorable as possible.

Hajj is the fifth & final pillar of Islam and it has great importance in the hearts of Muslims. It is expected and obligatory for each Muslim to perform it at least once in their lifetime, provided they are financially and physically able to do so. Umrah pilgrims advised to take COVID-19 vaccine

Saudi Arabia's Minister of Hajj and Umrah Muhammad Saleh Benten said that it is advisable for those who wish to perform Umrah to receive the coronavirus vaccine.
All the precautionary measures and preventive protocols are being taken to stem the spread of coronavirus and that is in coordination with the Ministry of Health, the minister said, while emphasizing that the Umrah pilgrimage is “safe”.

Benten made the remarks while speaking to Al-Arabiya channel after receiving coronavirus vaccine dose in Jeddah. “Anyone who registers to receive coronavirus vaccine through the Sehhaty application and wants to perform Umrah must take the vaccine,” he said.
Benten said that all the precautionary measures and preventive protocols such as social distancing, using sanitizer, wearing masks, in addition to the age limit for the performance of the Umrah rituals will be applied.

Flying remains one of the safest travel alternatives during COVID-19. The risk of contracting COVID-19 on a flight is low. But there are a few precautions you can take to lower the risk even further.

Before heading to Dublin Airport:
• Avoid travelling if you have a fever or cough. Seek medical advice if you are unwell
• Perform as many as your travel formalities before heading to the airport. This includes completing e-VISA or travel authorization, contact and health information declaration as per local regulation
• Ensure you have sufficient masks and hand sanitizer for your entire journey

While at the airport & before departure:
• Wear your mask at all times
• Practice physical distancing wherever possible, including when boarding the aircraft
• Wash or sanitize hands frequently by washing with soap and water or using hand sanitizers
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth, especially after contact with commonly touched surfaces

During the flight:
• Wear your mask at all times:
- Wear it properly, over your nose and mouth
- Change it when it becomes damp
• Avoid unnecessary movement during the flight. Avoid congregating when waiting to use the toilet
• Inform the crew and seek medical care early if you become sick while travelling
• Wash or sanitize hands frequently by washing with soap and water or using hand sanitizers
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth, especially after contact with commonly touched surfaces
• Do not rush to disembark from the aircraft after it stops at the parking bay. You must practice the same hand hygiene and physical distancing

In the arrival lounge:
• Wear your face covering or mask at all times
• Practice physical distancing wherever possible, including when at immigration and baggage claim
• Wash, sanitize or clean hands frequently by washing with soap and water or using hand sanitizers
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth, especially after contact with commonly touched surfaces
• Comply with any local regulations on contact tracing

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) to launch health passport in push to reopen international travel

IATA is close to launching a digital health passport that it believes will aid the reopening of borders to international travel through the secure sharing of information on Covid-19 testing and vaccinations.
With the airline industry body seeing some traction on the introduction of universal testing regimes to kick-start cross-border flights, the IATA Travel Pass is aimed at managing and verifying “the secure flow of necessary testing or vaccine information among governments, airlines, laboratories and travelers”.
“Today borders are double locked,” states IATA director general Alexandre de Juniac. “Testing is the first key to enable international travel without quarantine measures.
“The second key is the global information infrastructure needed to securely manage, share and verify test data matched with traveller identities in compliance with border control requirements. That’s the job of IATA Travel Pass.”

The initiative will be delivered via four modules: a global registry of health requirements; a global registry of testing and vaccination centers relevant to the requirements of each travel destination; a “Lab App” to enable authorized laboratories and test centers to share test and vaccination certificates with passengers; and a “Contactless Travel App” containing all the relevant data and certificates for individual passengers to meet travel requirements.
Among the potential benefits of the Travel Pass, IATA says governments will be able to verify the authenticity of tests and the identity of those presenting certificates, while airlines will be able to ensure passengers receive the correct information on requirements for travel, and that they have acted on it.
Passengers themselves will have the means to securely convey test information to airlines and border authorities.
The first cross-border IATA Travel Pass pilot is scheduled for later this year and the launch of the program is planned for the first quarter of 2021.
IATA is not alone in developing such a product, with other examples including the Common Pass project and initiatives introduced on a national level by several governments.
