Happy International Friendship Day!

"Brothers by blood, friends by choice"

We had this idea years ago of taking people off-road and showing them an alternative Inis Mór; take the road less travelled, take a slower pace to visit the attractions of Inis Mór, to showcase our heritage, our culture, our love of the Island.

With a lot of hard work, research, many late nights of discussions and planning... and 2 VERY supportive wives🙏😉 with 6 young boys between us, we got our business up and running during a pandemic!!

We've had many good days and few bad days but it's FRIENDSHIP that has made it work! 🤜🤛

The Sunset Experience 🌅

We arrange a pick-up spot with you and take you off-road to see spectacular views of the other Islands, The coastline of Ireland, Dún Aonghasa in the distance and the Wild Atlantic Ocean.

Experience the peace and tranquility of the Island in the evening time when all the hustle and bustle of Island Life slows down...

We then take you to Dún Eochla, The highest point of the Island. There is the ruins of an old lighthouse and a Martello watch tower and we take you to ancient stone fort to watch the sun set over Galway Bay, on the edge of Europe. 🌅❤

What a stunning drone pic of Dún Eochaill. A fort that is totally in tact and untouched!

To the left of the picture you will see a lighthouse... yes! a lighthouse in the highest, most central part of the Island!!
There is also a Martello Tower there too!

And to the bottom of the picture is Éire 50 sign, made from stone, that were used during WW2 to declare our neutrality to the Allies.

We can bring you here on our Evening and Sunset Experience... one of the best places to watch the sunset over Galway Bay! 🌅

📍TEAMPALL BHEANÁIN (Benen's church) ⛪

It marks the location of the original monastic settlement founded by Benen, a disciple of St. Patrick, the national saint of Ireland.

It dates from the 11th century, and has stood unaltered a thousand years.

From here, you can see the east side of Inis Mór, Inis Meáin, Inis Oirr and the rugged coastline of the cliffs of Moher. 😎

📍Destination: DÚN AONGHASA!
This UNESCO World Heritage site is one of the most famous landmarks on Inis Mór!

This 3,000 year old ring fort is perched on the edge of 100ft cliffs, facing out to the expansive Wild Atlantic Ocean.

The fort has three massive drystone defense walls. Outside them is the chevaux-de-frise; Jagged, upright stones used to defend the fort.

📷Dún Aonghasa offers amazing views of the Islands of Inis Mór, Inis Méain, Inis Óirr, the west coast of Clare and on a clear day, you can see the coastline of Kerry!

Located half way back the Island, we will guide you across the rocky terrain to find this hidden, secret landmark.🌊

A rectangular-shaped, natural pool carved out over millions of years by the powerful Atlantic Ocean. It was made famous as a Red Bull Cliff Diving Venue where they jumped in from a platform higher than the Cliff edge!

Pádraig and Aonghus Hernon are brothers and proud native Islanders! 🏝

The Hernon family go back three generations of horse and cart tours on the Island and Pádraig and Aonghus have over 20 years' experience in the business.

The brothers decided to change it from one horsepower to 120 HP in their bespoke Land Rover Defender 4x4 Jeep!

Their love of the Island spurred them on to provide an alternative experience of Inis Mór. 🌅
