Molly Gallivan's Cottage and Traditional Farm has been voted one of the top 5 attractions to visit in Kerry.
According to Americian visitors on Trip Advisor the family run visitor centre is up there with the likes of Killarney National Park, Muckross House and the Gap of Dunloe.

One visitor from Washington called it a "rare gem".

Another from Houston said that they "had so much fun" and that the experience was "authentic". A third from Colorado said: This was a very entertaining spot as well as educational.

Saturday the 18th of June

After 3 years, the Sunset to Sunrise charity walk is happening Saturday the 18th of June. This year we are continuing to raise funds for the Aoife O’ Sullivan Oncology Education Fund in Cork University Hospital. All monies raised will go towards the education advancement for the nurses on the Oncology ward. All donations would be greatly appreciated even if you don’t do the walk on the night. Molly Gallivan’s have purchased this stunning 5kg Easter egg from Lorge Chocolatier in support of Ukraine. On Easter Sunday , 17th of April , at 12 noon we will be smashing this Easter egg and sharing it with all the children and adults who visit us. All donations are welcome. All proceeds will be donated directly to the Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal.

Bonane Community Council have decided to mark the 100th anniversary of the war of independence. Our intention is to create a short documentary/film on Captain John Flynn and the Bonane volunteers and their involvement in the Kerry Flying Column. Bonane native Matt Sullivan PO has kindly volunteered his skills and time to make the film. The film will be a non-profit project. However, costs including graphics, photo restoration, post-production editing, costumes, historical reconstructions, and artist sketches will need to be covered. We invite you to support this project with any financial contribution you can make. The film will serve as evidence for the strength and sacrifice the people involved made in the battle for the community’s freedom.

Stephen O Sullivan (Molly Gallivan’s) is doing his first triathlon next Sunday, August 8th. The triathlon is in memory of Tadhg Murphy (Glengariff) and to raise much-needed funds for the Irish Air ambulance.
‘Triathlon for Tadhg’ consists of a 5k Run in Glengarriff woods, a Kayak in Glengarriff harbor, followed by an 85k Cycle through the Healy pass, Kenmare, Caha pass, and returning to Glengarriff.
