We would like to wish our friend and colleague Elaine Reid best wishes for the future as she leaves Disability Sport NI to take up an exciting new career opportunity at Sport NI.
Elaine was one of our fledgling charity’s first employees when she joined us just over 20 years ago and has been pivotal in leading the development of our performance sport programmes which have created sports opportunities for thousands of disabled people throughout NI.
Among her key achievements was leading our inclusion work with mainstream governing bodies of sport and overseeing the development of performance pathways in the sports of Wheelchair Basketball and Boccia.
In addition, she has supported numerous talented disabled athletes from NI to compete and excel in international competition including the Paralympic Games.
Thank you Elaine for making a fantastic contribution to our charity’s work.. you will be missed!
