The Monte Challenge takes place on Saturday 7th September. There is still time to register and take part in The Little Monte. Run starts at 9.30am from Mountcharles Community Centre.
You can still purchase a Little Monte entry online or from 6pm to 9pm Friday Evening and 6am to 9am on Saturday Morning at St. Peter’s NS. This is a family fun run/walk/jog along the Shore Road/Station Road route passing Mountcharles pier. Entry Fee of €20 covers individuals or families.

Will be a great mornings fun, so come along and join in on Mountcharles' first adventure race.

Excitement is building with just a few days to go until Donegal’s top family-friendly music festival, Oakfest! Taking place at the beautiful Oakfield Park, Saturday 7th, and Sunday 8th September, this event promises the best in delicious food, drink, and entertainment for everyone.

Shuttle Bus:
Convenient transport is available from Sonny McSwine's/McCafferty's in Letterkenny at 1 pm and 2 pm, with a return from Oakfest at 11 pm. There's also a pick-up at The Diamond, Raphoe, at 1:45 pm and 2:45 pm. The fee is €5 per adult each way, with kids travelling for free.

Children's Entertainment:
From 2:30 pm to 7:30 pm each day, there will be a range of activities for children, including arts & crafts, face painting, and lots of fun!

Entries are still open for the Danny Gormley Memorial Knockalla Hillclimb which takes place on September 7th & 8th. Entries close on Tue September 3rd 2024 at 6pm

A counting round of the Donegal Commercial Vehicles Club Championship.

An exciting addition to this year's event is the 1J class, which allows junior entrants (13-17 years) a chance to compete on one of the most iconic locations in the world.

Class 1J cars as per J1000/Mini challenge regulations eligible to compete. Junior entrants on both days will be entered into a draw for an entry for the 2025 Donegal Forestry rally.

Here comes the sun for our final Plein Air workshop of the summer!

Join inspirational artist Selena Mowat this Saturday the 31 August from 12noon to 4.00pm.

Put everything you’ve learned on day one into practice to create your own personal impressions of the beautiful Glebe House and gardens in an enjoyable and relaxing atmosphere.

Selena Mowat studied painting at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Scotland and went on to teach drawing and painting for 8 years at Dundee University before moving to Donegal in 2010. She appeared as a finalist on TV on the very first series of Sky Portrait Artist of the year and has exhibited widely both internationally and locally.

Required materials:
A selection of brushes
Watercolour paper
Masking fluid
Watercolour paint
Water spray bottle

Please dress for the weather. Tearooms will be open from 11am.
