er and Creative Director, Carmel McKiernan has been encouraging the progression of young people's personal skills over the last 20 years. Working in a variety of schools, Carmel has always had a passion, dedication and a vision that led her to set up Limelight Theatrics in 2009. Research shows that children who are involved in the arts are four times more likely to be recognised for academic achievement, as well as having enhanced cognitive, motor, and social development. The skills developed in the performing arts provide a solid platform for young people to take on greater things in their future. The Limelight Theatrics programmes offer continued learning outside of school, with a core philosophy of ensuring students enjoy their experience and have fun, all while setting them up to reach their full potential. Amazing day at Carechoice Trim. The staff are amazing in how they care for the lovely residents. Burgers, hotdogs, ice cream, music..fun day 💜💜💫 🎊It's such a pity the Irish weather is so unpredictable as the event was planned for outdoors. We still had a great time even if it was inside. 😁

Congratulations to the very talented students at StarLight Dance Academy, who participated in the Irish Board of Speech and Drama examinations and Musical Theatre examinations on the 14th of April. I have the pleasure of teaching singing at Starlight on a weekly basis 💙
The Starlight students have improved immensely at singing using the IVA technique Institute for Vocal Advancement.

This Sunday, my lovely Limelight Theatrics students will participate in the IBSD examinations . The students have worked incredibly hard over the last term with their acting and singing requirements. We are looking forward to the event and I wish all students the very best!

Thank you Michelle Connolly at Rewind.ie for those lovely comments. Even though the showcases were on a much smaller scale through Zoom (challenging to say the least) students and parents enjoyed them and it's always great to have a performance at the end of a term.
