We’re excited to introduce you to a unique farm-to-cone experience at Muchgrange Farm, located under the stunning Slieve Foy mountain on the Cooley Peninsula. Did you know that the Hanlon family has been dairy farming for four generations and are now Ireland’s first gelato-producing dairy farm? 🍦🐄

Visitors can join the Hanlon family for a fun, hands-on experience including meeting the cows in the fields, a tour of the milking parlour, and discovering how their rich, non-homogenised milk is transformed into creamy gelato, using the same milk that has been part of their family heritage for years. Our favourite part then is finishing off with two scoops of fresh, farm-made gelato at the farm shop. 🌿✨

We were delighted to step inside Sarah McKenna’s 250-year-old studio in Dundalk’s historic St. Nicholas' Quarter to meet the artist herself and witness her craft up close. For over 20 years, Sarah has been weaving the rich tapestry of Irish life into her ceramic creations, blending nostalgia, warmth, and a love for Ireland’s landscape and people.

Each piece, with its intricate textures and heartfelt messages, captures the essence of life’s simple joys. We were truly inspired by the transformation of raw clay into meaningful works of art. Visitors can also take part in immersive, hands-on experiences under Sarah’s guidance, creating their own story in clay.

We highly recommend that you explore her gallery and discover stunning art from the talented makers

Did you know that sourdough was historically baked in Ireland before bread soda arrived in the 1800s and made us famous for soda bread! We didn’t, until we met Chris Brownlow- The Gentlemen Baker and former Potato Farmer for Ireland’s much-loved Tayto crisps (we LOVE that detail!).💚

At his home in the Boyne Valley in beautiful County Meath, Chris delivers fun-filled and thought-provoking sourdough bread making experiences that are delicious and good for your health. Who knew?! ✨

Remember during the pandemic when there was a sourdough craze and it all seemed so complicated with keeping starters on the go – well Chris has a much simpler approach to all of that. Phew – the pressure is off and the whole whoweareireland team are now committed to weekly sourdough bakes.🍞

A great experience for adults and families – to book, check out .with.benefits
