Our challenge began on 17 July at 4 am. We drove from Kilcrohane, Co. Cork to Mizen Head , to catch the first Sun ray...

Our challenge began on 17 July at 4 am. We drove from Kilcrohane, Co. Cork to Mizen Head , to catch the first Sun rays at 5.30 am. Then, we headed towards Caha Pass , Kenmare, Killarney to Trabert, where we boarded the ferry to Kilrush. Quick coffee there and we headed to Croagh Patrick and National Famine Memorial in Murrisk. We've had a great lunch there at Tavern Bar and Restaurant . (They serve an amazing chowder!!!). After having a bit of rest we resumed our journey to the North, arriving in Sligo and Drumcliff, where we visited the local cemetery with W. B. Yeats grave. We stopped at Tawula Beach to enjoy the exceptionally warm waters of the Atlantic, before heading to our final destination, Malin Head. We made one more stop to check in at An Granian Hotel for quick refreshment. We arrived at Malin Head just a few minutes before sunset, hoping to see our star hiding in the Ocean. We found a great disappointment as fog decided to cover the scene. So we have to return there one day again...
19-hour drive, near 800 kilometers, 9 counties and Derry city on the way from Malin Head to the hotel... Ireland is beautiful...
