✨ Imbolc & St. Brigid’s Day ✨

As the days grow longer and the first signs of spring emerge, we celebrate Imbolc and St. Brigid’s Day—two traditions deeply rooted in Irish heritage.

Imbolc, an ancient Celtic festival, marks the halfway point between winter and spring. It was a time of renewal, fertility, and hope, as people honoured Brigid, the goddess of poetry, healing, and smithcraft.

With the arrival of Christianity, Brigid became St. Brigid of Kildare, one of Ireland’s patron saints. She is celebrated on February 1st, symbolizing generosity, protection, and new beginnings. Many still weave St. Brigid’s crosses and light candles in her honour, echoing the flames of inspiration she represents.

Whether you embrace the spiritual, historical, or seasonal aspects of today, Imbolc reminds us that brighter days are ahead. ☀️🌱
