Burns supper is to celebrate the life and poetry of Robert Burns…
Note Irish whiskey is spelt with an E and Scottish whisky isn’t….
Recipe for four.
75 grms oats.
300 mls cream
250 grms raspberries.
2 tablespoons whiskey
2 tablespoons honey..
Toast the oats by placing in a hot oven or in a frying pan.Watch carefully till they are a light brown colour.. Reserve a few for decoration.
Whip the cream and add the whiskey and honey to taste .Stir in the toasted oatmeal.
Reserve a few raspberries for decorating and lightly mash the remainder with a fork.
The ingredients are layered up like a trifle in a bowl or individual glasses.
A layer of raspberries, cream, raspberries cream..
Decorate with a little toasted oatmeal and raspberries..
Enjoy.
