Tales of witches and magic come to mind on Hallowe'en, and there is surely no story more fascinating - or perhaps tragic - than that of Dorcas 'Darkey' Kelly, Dublin innkeeper, and last person on this island to be burnt at the stake for witchcraft in 1761. Our Davis Events Group is pictured here outside the location of Darkey's former pub. Photo taken 31 Oct.

Dublin Castle is always a must see on any tour of Dunlin City. With its centuries of history these walls are brimming with stories. The Castle does have a connection with one of Irelands most renowned writers, Bram Stoker. Both he and his family worked in the Castle. This wonderful group from all over the World enjoyed Dublin Castles sprawling grounds and history.

The traditional Celtic festival of Samhain is now celebrated all over the world as Halloween. This lovely group from all over Europe had a Halloween Tour of Dublin with Eamon. Here they are outside the wonderful Marsh's Library, built in 1701. Legend tells that Archbishop Marsh still haunts its corridors to this day. It was also where Bram Stoker (Local Dublin Boy) got inspiration for his masterpiece "Dracula".

Laura Nixon's IELA English Language Group were my guests on Wednesday's 'haunted tour of Dublin'. The group - all from Spain - were treated to stories about the Trinity College ghost (Edward Ford, a disgruntled lecturer shot by rowdy students in 1734), Molly Malone and the strange goings-on concerning the stolen relics of St Lorcan O'Toole in 2012. On Tuesday 13 April 1742, at 12 noon, Fishamble Street Dublin became the scene of the world première of Handel's famous oratorio 'The Messiah'. Kerri Blanford of Dallas, Texas, and her niece Sidney are pictured here with me in front of a dedication to the auspicious event at the entrance to Handel's Hotel in that same street. Photo taken Sat 26 Oct.

I was fortunate enough to have the company of Rembrand Duindam's HLPC Group again on Saturday 19th for a hiking tour of Howth, and as can be seen from this photo, we were blessed with beautiful weather for the day. The Bailey Lighthouse is visible at top left, with the Dublin Mountains in the distant background.

One of the best locations in Dublin for 'craic agus ceol' (that's 'music and fun' to those who don't speak Gaeilge) is of course Sean Potts's Piper's Corner in Marlborough Street, which opened in 2017. My guests on this occasion were the HLPC Group led by Rembrand Duindam (at right of photo), from Almere in the Netherlands. Photo taken Fri 18 Oct.

Culture and taste are of course very much part of the Dublin Tour Guide experience, and this was indeed the case last Thursday when Sharon and Andrew Hinojosa from Newport News VA joined me on a walking tour of Dublin. We are pictured here in front of a dedication commemorating the World Premiere of Handel's Messiah, which occurred at 12 noon, on Tuesday 13th April 1742 in O'Neill's Music Hall, Fishamble Street, Dublin. Photo taken 17 Oct.

Wonderful evening in Dublin with Janice and Jamie. I told the epic story of the Death of Cú Chulainn - haven't told it in a while.
We ended in the Gin Palace. It was tough choosing between their impressive High Tea (gin cocktail in a tea pot and drank out of dainty tea cups!) or learning how to drink a Guinness.
You can see which one we chose!
