This student group from Berlin stopped in front of the Department of the Taoiseach for a photo. Taoiseach is an Irish language word, which can translate as "Leader". In Ireland this is the title given to our Head of Government.

Eileen and Andy from Washington DC had a wonderful tour of Dublin with Eamon. On a dry but chilly day we explored the majestic Samuel Beckett bridge, the Grand Canal, Georgian Dublin, St Stephen's Green, Trinity College and much more. We also found time for a warm up in a typical Dublin Pub.

Great afternoon exploring Dublin with Layna and Stephen, most enjoyable and we got no rain!!!!

It was at least my first time visiting O'Connell's Tomb at Glasnevin Cemetery with John Caffrey, Austin Rock, Eamon O'Sullivan, and our new guide, Colm.

Eamon organised the outing for us, which provides a great opportunity to discover a lesser-known part of Dublin. We also get to meet up and chat. Biding our time until winter ends are touring returns in earnest.

The Oscar Wilde Monument is one of the most popular memorials for any writer or public figure in the city of Dublin. Myself and Prasanna (from Seattle, in the State of Washington) are pictured here last Sunday 2 Feb under the beady eye of the famous poet and playwright.

The Grays from Washington State are huge Rugby fans. The Six Nations kicked off this weekend in Dublin with the epic annual clash of Ireland v England. What better way to get in the mood and sample the atmosphere, than a Rugby Pub Tour, with the Rugby loving guide Eamon.
We tackled, mauled and rucked our way into the night!

Up for the match: Gary and Rees Gray from Tacoma WA are pictured here during a brief pitstop at Doheny & Nesbitts' on their tour of Dublin with me last Thursday. Both are avid rugby players and will be attending the Ireland v England game on Saturday at the Aviva. Gary had a distinguished career in top level rugby in England and Wales and is a former Canada international player with numerous caps for his country 🇨🇦🏉

Christmas is long gone Temple Bar pub of same name has clearly kept their decorations up. Of course brightening up a dark January for Luis and Rubita from San Francisco and making a pretty backdrop. Despite the weather we had a great walking tour, the plus was most of the sights we had to ourselves.

It was a cold but sunny morning in Dublin for this student tour from Berlin. A wonderful happy and well informed group. Multiple different backgrounds, all very inquisitive about the history and culture of Dublin.

Have ye heard?

I wonder can we get him to put forth the idea of "The Celtic Isles" to finally encourage people to stop using the antiquated and offensive "British Isles" to refer to Ireland and Britain?

The pronouncements came during a meandering press conference held a day after the US Congress certified Trump’s election victory.
