School’s out for summer, so it’s time to explore and experience something different.
Join us at Cavan County Museum for a day exploring archaeology!
We’re looking forward to the ‘Big Dig’ from the The School of Irish Archaeology , a mobile archaeological excavation!
Ancient Music Ireland will also be with us for the day, bringing with them their extensive collection of musical instruments, from Stone Age, Bronze Age, Iron Age and into Early Medieval times.
Visitors will also be able to see the museum’s archaeology and medieval galleries and talk to the museum team about some of Cavan’s famous archaeological finds.
