We are experiencing a lot of challenge in the current business world as a result of the rapid rate of change.
It is important that leaders intentionally support their teams enabling them to perform at their best.

I was caught off guard in this photo when reflecting on a great panel discussion that I had the pleasure of facilitating last week.
One of the key takeaways from the panel discussion was that ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ needs to be followed up with supportive ๐๐๐๐๐๐ in order to have an impact.
In other words, when we feel empathy for somebody, we should ask ourselves the question โ๐๐ฉ๐ข๐ต ๐ข๐ค๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐ค๐ข๐ฏ ๐ ๐ต๐ข๐ฌ๐ฆ ๐ต๐ฐ ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ญ๐ฑ/๐ด๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ฐ๐ณ๐ต ๐ต๐ฉ๐ช๐ด ๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ด๐ฐ๐ฏ ?โ

Good leaders intentionally go beyond empathy and embrace compassionate leadership.
Compassionate leadership involves the following 4 steps:
1. Be present with your team - listen with fascination!
2. Understand where they are at via dialogue
3. Empathize with the situation - mirror their feelings
4. Taking intelligent action to help your team, and alleviate their pain points

Leadership success can be measured by the results and wellbeing of your team.
The leaderโs job is to intentionally provide support to the team so that they can be successful and well.
