Exciting news! The remarkable Neolithic Site and Visitor Centre will reopen from March 15th to November 3rd, 2024. Located in County Mayo, Ireland, it boasts the world's most extensive Stone Age field system, dating back 6,000 years. This historic site is a must-see along the Wild Atlantic Way.

Visitors can enjoy an upgraded experience, including an interpretation of the site's archaeology and a audio-visual exhibition showcasing the region's rich heritage. Overlooking the dramatic Atlantic Ocean, the landscape, shaped by millions of years of natural forces, offers a glimpse into ancient farming life.

From March 15th until November 3rd, 2024, Céide Fields will open daily from 10am. Last admission will be 4:15pm.

Dún Dealgan, meaning 'The Fort of Dealga'. This site is important in Irish mythology as it is said to be the birthplace of the legendary warrior - Cúchulainn.

The standing stone that supposedly marks his burial can be seen in the field to the right as you go up the entrance lane.
