☀️ 1st Year Trip to Lilliput ☀️

The weather was on our side today for the 1st year trip to lilliput!

Students took part in lots of activities including Orienteering, Rock Climbing, AirBall, Stand up Paddle Boarding and Bog Hopping.

A brilliant day was had by students and staff!

🌟Our 5th Year and LCA students attended the Leinster School Summit event in the National Sports Arena in Dublin.

The students engaged with exhibitors and explored over 100 stalls on the day.

They also took part in competitions and workshops throughout the day. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and the students came home with lots of new information about potential career and college opportunities.

They must all be commended for the exemplary behaviour from start to finish of the trip.

A huge well done and congratulations to all of our wonderfully talented students for putting so much hard work and effort into their performances for what we can all agree was a fantastic evening.

A big thanks to all students that helped out backstage with hair, make up, lighting and staging.

Thank you to the staff that helped to organise the event. Mr.Hill, Carmel, Mr McAleer, Ms Murray, Ms Clarke and Ms Selve.

🌟North Midlands Credit Union Partnership🌟

Once again, a sincere thanks to Claire Gilsenan from North Midlands Credit Union who presented a very generous cheque to the students of Columba College, Killucan as part of the Post Primary School Funding programme. This funding will assist with improving Home Economics equipment and facilities for our students.

We look forward to continue working with North Midlands Credit Union for future projects.

Students were busy finishing off their Culture Night rehersals today in CCK. We hope to see lots of familiar faces tomorrow evening for the big show 🎊

⚽️Our annual 6th Year v Staff soccer match took place this week. Both teams left it all on the pitch but after last years questionable defeat, the Winners cup is back in the Staff Room 🏆 Well done to all students and staff that got involved and a big thanks to all of the supporters on the sideline! 🌟

We brought #ActiveWeek and #mentalhealthmarch to a close today with a whole school 5K Run/Walk all in aid of #daffodilday . A big thanks to all students that donated to raise money for such an important cause. Well done to all students and staff that took part the 5k today and Congratulations to all of our worthy winners. 🥇🥈🥉

Active Week: Junior students got involved in a limbo competition at break time today! Well done to all that participated and congrats to the Winners 🏆

Day 4 of our Senior Trip to Germany 🇩🇪: And we are done!!!!! Students enjoyed Bowling 🎳 this morning, the climbed to the top of Koln Cathedral , had lunch , visited the Lindt Chocolate Factory 🍫 🏭 and now we are headed for home! 🇮🇪

Day 3 of our Senior Trip was spent in Efteling Themepark: 🇳🇱 We had brilliant weather for the theme park, then had dinner in a Greek restaurant 🇬🇷 and topped of the day with a game of beanboozled 😂

🇧🇪 Day 2 of our Senior Trip to Germany: We visited and toured Marksburg Castle🏰, took a ferry ride to Boppard⛴️, hopped on a river cruise 🚤 and finished off the day with an all you can eat Chinese buffet. 🥢

🇩🇪 Our Senior School tour got off to a flying start today. 🇩🇪 After a very early start and a long day travelling our Students had a tour of Koln FC Stadium and Explored Koln City before settling in for the night in preparation for an action packed day tomorrow ✈️

🇧🇪 The fourth and final day of our 2nd & 3rd Year trip was spent in the beautiful city of Ghent, where we took a tour of the city along the river and canal. 🛶 We then stopped off at the world famous Atomium in Brussels ⚛️ before hopping on our flight back home 🇮🇪

Day 3 was spent in Efteling Theme Park in The Netherlands 🇳🇱

Day 2: Cologne 🇩🇪 It was an early start again for our drive to Cologne. We visited ⛪️ Cologne Cathedral, climbed to the top 👣 , had a tour of the Lindt Chocolate factory 🍫 with plenty of samples and finished off the day with some shopping 🛍

Our 2nd & 3rd Year school trip has gotten off to a flying start 🛩 Day 1 included a tour of Fort Breendonk, lots of Belgian Waffles, a visit to The Grand-Place and loads more site seeing around Brussels city center 🇧🇪

A massive thank you to everyone that made it to our Christmas Wreath making class today, especially to Maureen from Bloomin' Marvellous Flowers We hope everyone enjoyed the afternoon! It's started off the Christmas feeling nicely! 🎄🎅 Looking forward to seeing familiar and new faces in our next class.
