Normally, at this time of year, we’re in full swing preparing for our annual Christmas Craft Fair but unfortunately, due to the current restrictions, we can’t hold the Craft Fair this year. However, in a bid to help out & do our bit to support local in these challenging times, we’ve reached out to those who usually take a stall at the Craft Fair and we’ve offered them a “virtual” Christmas Craft Fair stall via our page. We will showcase some of the products for sale and we ask people to please support them if possible. If you see anything you’d like, please contact the seller directly – you’ll find their contact details in each post.

Many thanks to all who support our Christmas Craft Fair and hopefully, we’ll be back in the Community Centre in November 2021.

First up we have Nick Power of Deise Mosaic. As you will see from the photos, Nick has a fantastic range of mosaic and wood burning art. If anyone’s interested in purchasing any of Nick’s products, please contact him on 085-1795072 or at [email protected]

Great news for our parish!

The longest journey starts with a single step.
After many, many subsequent steps we are delighted to bring some more good (great) news to the Piltown/Fiddown commmunity.

During lockdown the dedicated Broadband Committee continued to meet online week-after-week to move the project forward. We are now registered Company Limited by Guarantee! Broadband 4 Our Community CLG consists of a 10 member board of directors, all from the community.

Further to that, Piltown Community Enterprise has successfully applied for funding from Kilkenny Leader to employ a broadband consultant to assist us in making high-speed low-cost fibre broadband available to every house in Piltown & Fiddown.

Thanks to everyone for all your support and belief.
More good news to follow - stay tuned!
