Ar an gCéadaoin, rinne rang a trí agus a ceathair ceacht Gaeilge sa choill le muinteoir . Bhí siad ag plé neart na nDarach agus ag tabhairt isteach an smaoineamh go m wash crank ann do hatch headache i gcultúr ársa na Éireann.

On Wednesday, Aspen class (3 and 4) did their Irish lesson in the woods; they were discussing the strength of the oak tree, how its strength is also its weakness and how there is a tree for every moon in Irish culture.

Marking the beginning of advent with our annual ritual of the spiral. Seasonally, it is a time of more darkness and this gathering becomes a symbol of the path to turn inward, to tend to the light within and give light to others.

Advent Fair 🎄

The school community is getting ready for Kilkenny’s most craftiest, cheeriest, Christmassy advent fair!

We will have stalls galore of makers of artistic treasures, perfect gifts for giving, hand made with love.

Seasonal treats and warm drinks, bells will be a ringing and sweet singing choirs.

Lantern Walk 🕯️

Our school community gathered to mark st. Martin’s Day. A ritual which symbolises and celebrates the importance of community, sharing light and warmth during the winter.

The children, teachers and parents prepared beautiful lanterns in the weeks prior. There was talented musicians and sweet voices that filled the crisp winter eve.

We returned from a woods procession to warm drinks and plenty of moon bread and sweet treats.

The Kilkenny Steiner School annual Advent fair is SOON!

This has to be one of the biggest gatherings at the school where makers, crafters and sellers share their wares giving the wider community an opportunity to get unique gifts for loved ones at Christmas.

A time to gather, have some food, drink, music and much much Christmas cheer!
