It was truly an honour to present the experience to this fantastic crew last night. The gods smiled on us last night and opened up the heavens for us and gifted us inky dark clear skies. Everybody was so engaged and so blown away by what they saw, the planets in particular!
The cost of the tour is €45 per person for a 2 hour experience.
What do you get?
👉Access to some of the best observing equipment currently available
👉A quick 10 minute astronomy basics class explaining what are stars, nebulaes, galaxies, distances and light years and relative sizes of planets and stars etc.
👉A naked eye tour to start off with to get your bearings of where you are in our galaxy and the different constellations and targets we will be observing within it.
👉We then move on to our observing equipment and begin observing stars and star clusters before moving on to the bigger targets such as planets, the moon and possibly galaxies if the moon is not around.
👉Catch the international space station and track it across the sky if it happens to be passing on the night.( not always)
👉See satellites and sometimes shooting stars whizzing through the lenses of the binoculars
👉Have high res pictures taken of you with the stars for you to keep and print.
👉Chairs, blankets and herbal teas provided for your comfort.
