Since 1998, Shomera have set the standard for the provision of additional living space. After viewing thousands of properties, we have manufactured, delivered and constructed buildings all over Ireland and the UK. Our professional staff are qualified and have years of experience in the construction and manufacturing industries. We continually research ways to improve our products and the manner in

which we construct them. We have a 14,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Dunshaughlin, Co Meath where all our home extensions and commercial buildings are designed, engineered and manufactured. Over the past eleven years, we have honed our project management skills to a very high level. We will bring all our expertise to bear on your project to ensure cost effectiveness and quality in a timely fashion. Our experienced staff will oversee the creation of your Shomera from start to finish. You will be fully aware of our progress at all times and have a schedule of works, detailing the timing of your Shomera installation. Your experience with us will be unlike any other building project you have experienced. REPUTATION
We work in an industry that doesn’t have a reputation for reliability and customer satisfaction. At Shomera, we have worked hard to deliver an excellent product and service. We strive to deliver on time, within budget and exceed our customers’ expectations. At the completion of every project, we send our customers a pack that includes a manual, our warranty and a customer questionnaire on product and service performance. Hundreds of these forms have been returned and our satisfaction rating is in the 90’s. We invite you to ask us about our customer approval rating and will arrange for you to speak to someone in your area who already has a Shomera to relate their experience. In over 1300 Shomera buildings we have not failed to deliver the completed product. Admittedly, there have been bumps on the road at times, but we are committed to honouring our commitments to you the customer. ACCREDITATION

We're often asked, can I get WiFi in my new Garden Room? Yes, absolutely!🛜

For a simple setup, a WiFi extender can seamlessly extend your home's signal to your Shomera.

This works by connecting to your WiFi modem and extending the signal. Those needing a more robust connection might consider a wired solution from the get-go.

Here's a recent installation of a Garden Room in Dublin by our team.🏡

The alu-clad window and door colour (RAL 7023 concrete grey) in this project is particularly striking, bringing a lovely earthy tone to the Shomera. Choose from 27 different colour options for your Shomera Garden Room together with upgraded aluminium fascia and soffit in the same colour for a really strong personalised colour statement.

When choosing the right Shomera Garden Room for your needs, there are a few key considerations ⬇️

𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 – What will you use your Shomera Garden Room for? Whether it’s an at-home gym, WFH office, or simply extra living space, the use of your Garden Room will guide your choice.

𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 – Considering the space of your existing garden is key. It’s also important to consider what direction your Garden Room will face; the orientation of your Garden Room will define how much light it receives throughout the day.

𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 – Like any good living space, considering how you’ll keep your space organised will ensure a space that feels great to be in.

𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 – As you would with your home, it’s important to add decor to your Garden Room to truly make it your own space, and a joy to be in. Consider furniture, wall decoration, lighting and even some indoor plants, which can reinforce the connection between garden and home.

Thinking about extending your home but worried about planning permission? You might be surprised at how much you can achieve without it.

You can add up to 40㎡ to your home without needing permission, provided it meets certain conditions, like being to the rear of your house and leaving enough garden space (at least 25㎡). That's about 2.5 times the size of a typical sitting room in an Irish semi-detached house!

Additionally, any ground-floor extension windows must be no closer than one metre away from boundaries they face, and the walls of your extension must not be taller than the rear walls of your existing home.

Is there a difference between log cabins and Garden Rooms?

Log cabins have a more traditional look with gable roofs, small windows and decorative boards. Garden Rooms are contemporary with double or triple-glazed glass, clean lines and minimalist details.

Log cabins are one-skin structures, with interlocking horizontal logs providing both structure and facade. Shomera Garden Rooms have multilayered construction like a timber-frame home.

For year-round use, log cabins need added insulation and airtightness. Garden Rooms are pre-insulated with sealed windows to maintain warmth in winter.

1️⃣ Shomera Home Office: Anyone who works from home will tell you that it can be hard to 'get away' from work at the end of the day. A Garden Room helps keep home and work entirely separate (with the benefit of no commutes on cold mornings!).

2️⃣ Shomera Living Space Plus: Put simply, a Shomera Garden Room can be an extra place for you, your kids (old and young) or guests to spend time relaxing.

3️⃣ Shomera Studio: It's one of our favourites – Shomeras make the perfect spot for a hobby or creative outlet, especially considering they include electrical fittings and plumbing!
