The nicest place in the world to holiday!
The Algarve is famed for its beautiful beaches, restaurants and nightlife. This is one of the great holiday destinations, sunbathing during the day and at sunset flocking to enjoy the restaurants, bars and discos that enliven the night time hours. Just a few miles inland of the Algarve and everything changes. The green of the countryside is dotted with almond, fig, orange and pine trees and decorated chimneys stand out against the ochre of tiled roofs. Old style villages invite you to experience a way of life rooted in the tranquillity of nature, to add another dimension to your holiday. Zoomarine, Water parks and the Algarve shopping centre within a short drive.
Golf in the algarve is world renowned. The golf courses, facilities and hospitality are second to none with great value to be had with afternoon tee times in particular. Golf arrangements can be made if necessary including all in packages.
Coast / Beach
The promenade at Olhos dAgua has recently been improved and pedestrianised with toilet and shower facilities. The Algarve is famous for its golfing facilities and this area is no exception. Within 5 miles drive of Olhos dAgua there are a choice of 2 golf courses and only 15 minutes to Villamoura Oceanico Victoria, Millenium, Old Pinhal and Laguna courses.
Algarve outlet shopping centre is about 15 minutesz drive fromn the villa with hundreds of shops and a supermarket occupying two levels. Upstairs several restaurants offer food and beverages for every taste and budget. Sufficient parking slots are available even in rush hours. There is also a cinema and a bowling alley.
The championship courses at Villamoura are only a 15 minute drive from gthe villa and nearer to home there is the luxury 5* Sheraton Pine Cliffs resort which boats its own 9 hole course overlooking Falesia beach. Also the 9 hole at Balaia is only 2 minutes by car and 10 minutes to walk. There are 7 quality golf courses 10-15 minutes from the villa.
A few minutes walk to shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. Major supermarket less than 100 metres from villa. Fresh meat and vegetables beside supermarket. Taxis, bus stop, chemist and other specilaity shops are all less than 100 metres from villa.
Five minutes walk to Maria Louisa and Olhos dAgua beaches and 10 minutes to Falesia beach and its miles of golden sand. If you are feeling energetic walk from Olhos dAgua to Villamoura along the beach. It will take you at least 90 minutes and you may wish to get a taxi back.
Visit the open air markets in Quarteira on Wednesday and Loule on Saturday.
Villamoura is about 15 minutes car ride with its marina, shops, restaurants and casino. There are many theme parks, Slide and Splash, Aqualand, Wet and Wild, Crazy World and ZooMarine. ( the dolphin show is excellent!) Tickets for all these oarks can be booked 100 metres from the villa, beside the taxi rank in Expose. The Algarve shopping centre is a 30 minute drive with its supermarket, boutiques and numerous restaurants offering a variety of cuisine, bowling alley and multi screen cinema providing most films in English.
For the more adventurous there is a Tree Top Zip Wire fun park within a 10 minute walk of the villa in the direction of Montechoro.
