✨ Wishing Ballina the very best of luck! ✨

This coming Friday the 29th November, Ballina will find out if it will be crowned the European Volunteering Capital in 2026! CEV - Centre for European Volunteering 🎉 Ballina is one of just three towns shortlisted for this prestigious title, alongside Maia in Portugal and Rzeszów in Poland.

This remarkable achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the tireless work of Ballina Municipal District, Volunteer Ireland, Mayo Public Participation Network - PPN, Mayo Volunteer Centre, and . 🌍🤝

A delegation from will travel to Trento, Italy, the current Volunteer Capital, to attend the announcement ceremony on Friday. The jury, composed of volunteering representatives from civil society, the private sector, and EU institutions, will reveal their decision. 🌟

If Ballina wins, it will bring incredible benefits to both tourism and the volunteering sector in , building on the legacy of Sligo, who held the title in 2017.
