The global market for smart ultrasonic meters is changing and greater attention is being paid to the Asia-Pacific region and the Middle East, according to a new report.

The report indicates that the strongest drivers for water utilities to move to smart metering include reduced non-revenue water (NRW), increased billing and accuracy, ensured water sustainability and delivered service optimization and network control.

Arad Group joins Israeli water leaders delegation to China

Representatives of Arad China, the Asian arm of the Arad Group, took part in a special delegation of leading Israeli water companies to China organized by the Israel Economy Ministry.

During the visit, Economy Minister Naftali Bennett and Shougang municipal officials announced the establishment of an Israeli “Water City” in the coastal Chinese province of Shandong.

The installation of water meters by all water utilities in California could result in significant water savings and could help reduce water loss, according to a new report published by the Pacific Institute.

The report, titled Metering in California, stated that more than 219,000 urban water connections remained unmetered in California and the majority of multi-family units had a single meter for all units.
