Heavenly Father,

As Hurricane Milton has already begun, we come to You with hearts seeking Your protection over the people of Florida. Cover every family, home, and community under Your wings of safety.
“The Lord is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” (Psalm 91:2, NIV)
Bring peace to those who are fearful, and continue to guide those evacuating to safety. We pray for protection over the first responders, emergency workers, and all those actively engaged in relief efforts. We especially lift up our clients, agents, and promoting workers—shield them from harm and keep them safe through this storm.

Let Your presence be felt in the midst of the chaos, and grant strength and peace to all.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Below is a list of Jesus’ seven “I Am” statements in the book of John.

• “I am the bread of life.” (John 6:35, 41, 48, 51)
As bread sustains physical life, so Christ offers and sustains spiritual life.

• “I am the light of the world.” (John 8:12)
To a world lost in darkness, Christ offers Himself as a guide.

• “I am the door of the sheep.” (John 10:7,9)
Jesus protects His followers as shepherds protect their flocks from predators.

• “I am the resurrection and the life.” (John 11:25) Death is not the final word for those in Christ.

• “I am the good shepherd.” (John 10:11, 14)
Jesus is committed to caring and watching over those who are His.

• “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” (John 14:6) Jesus is the source of all truth and knowledge about God.

• “I am the true vine.” (John 15:1, 5)
By attached ourselves to Christ, we enable His life to flow in and through us. Then we cannot help but bear fruit that will honor the Father.

Did you know ??

Al-Qawoq
A hat worn by the head of the church, including a patriarch or a bishop.
It is currently worn by the followers of Antioch, Alexandria, and Constantinople churches
The qawoq was a turban worn by the high priest or priest during the First and Second Temples. Its size did not indicate a crown or dignity, but rather consisted of a piece of cloth resembling a shroud, which the clergyman placed on his head to remind him of his death in defence of faith and belief and to ensure the service of his people.
There is a well-known proverb in the Middle East that says, ‘Kill the shepherd , the sheep scatter"
This has indeed been the case with many clergymen throughout history.

Each of us has a cross that the Lord has chosen for us to bear with patience, faith and hope... So I thank you, Lord, for the cross you have chosen for me...
Please give me strong shoulders to carry it...  pick me up when I fall from its burden... send me someone to help me when my strength fails... do not extinguish the candle of hope in my heart...  give me patience and hope to continue my journey on the path of Calvary...  accept my pain with your pain on the cross...  be my healer, O greatest physician... accompany me in your majestic kingdom...
Thank you and glory be to you, my beloved God... Amen

The first person to wear the Skimo "hood" was St. Antonios, the founder of monasticism. It is a traditional costume of Syrian, Coptic monks, and other oriental churches
The Skimo symbolizes chastity, purity, forgetting the world and its materialism and looking only forward in order to save the soul and spirit, and attain eternal life.

1.The line separating the crosses in the half of the head reminds the monk of the story that happened to St. Antonios, the father of the monks, when the devil came and tried to tear the hood off his head and split it in two, so that St. Antonios sewed them together.

2.The large cross at the back of the head symbolizes the Lord Jesus Christ

3.The twelve crosses symbolize the disciples of the Lord Jesus, six on each side.

4.The thin line that starts from the front of the head and ends at the back of the head should always remind the monk of the narrow path full of paths that he will walk until he reaches Christ

5.Symbolizes the crown of thorns that was placed on the head of Jesus Christ
