Senior Israeli Officials have now stated that the Israel Defense Force no longer plans to withdraw from the “Philadelphi Corridor” between Egypt and the Southern Gaza Strip, despite previously agreeing to begin withdrawing from the Corridor on the 42nd Day of Phase 1 of the Ceasefire, which is coming this Sunday. They state that the decision is due to concerns that Hamas will use the “Philadelphi Corridor” to smuggled Weapons into Gaza from Egypt, with an Official saying, “We will not leave the Philadelphi Corridor.
