Hello, my name is Hagai Yohanan and I am an archaeologist and tour guide, after 20 years of working at the Nature and Parks Authority, 17 of which were in the establishment and management of the Apollonia National Park, I decided to do what I love, combine the love for the Holy Land and its vast history. We begin another day of discoveries in our educational excavation.

The year 2024, Professor Alexander Fantelkin, Dr. Ruth Tal Jackson, Professor Oren Tal, and I pick them up on the way to tour new archaeological digs.

It's anything but a pastoral picture, we met our son. Since that Saturday of the Hamas Isis attack, he and his comrades in arms are ready to enter Gaza, the source of evil and inhumanity. Everyone has a sense of mission to protect our lives from the N**i monster that reared its head in 2023. And the world as usual blames the victim. Now it is already clear that there is no two-state solution, when Palestinians sing from the river to the sea that Palestine will be freed, they mean that it will be freed from Jews. Wherever there is no Israeli control in the Middle East, there are no Jews.

On any normal day, my Rexton is used to show tourists the beauty of the Holy Land.
on Saturday the Holy day was desecrated by terrorists.
We were called to defend the country we love, we hear about the atrocities in the flourishing land where I grew up, my family still lives there, and I travel and guide jeep tours in the area.
Now that we are all mobilized, me and my
Rexton are also on guard.
The picture of Rexton in the pastoral landscape was taken at the same place where 260 music lovers were murdered during a party.
May the memory of all 1300 murdered be blessed.

The feast, an exhibition at the Israel Museum, we have been and enjoyed, the feast as a political tool since ancient times, the curator of the exhibition Nurit Goshen certainly succeeded in conveying the message, through an abundance of archaeological and contemporary finds. Highly recommended if you are in Israel

There are several options for traveling the Emmaus trail, the most convenient is in an off-road vehicle with explanations along the way, at the end enjoy a visit to the village of Abu Ghosh and enjoy an authentic meal.

For the last 28 years I've been excavating in Apollonia, the beautiful and magnificent site, Tomorrow I will guide a tour telling the story of the excavation and the history of Apollonia.

Congratulations to Professor Oren Tal for winning the ISF grant, I have the pleasure of working with him on the Apollonia project since 2006.
Oren and I met already in our BA studies, and since then he has been doing a lot in the fields of archaeological research.
For many more years of groundbreaking research.

People ask what's so fun about archaeology? Get this, while scanning with the metal detector I see something interesting in the square section, a closer look it is the back of an oil lamp. After taking photos of the find in situ, I pull out the lamp. A beautiful and complete lamp, the color is gray, a radial candle made in a mold, from the second century BC. It's fun to be an archaeologist.

And Moses said: "The site speaks to you through its pottery" (Professor Moshe Fischer) Washing pottery to the sounds of Om Kulthum, me and the workers from Jenin, teamwork. Reaching into the bucket and picking up the handle of an amphora from Rhodes (the island),I remembers that a moment ago I put the part with the stamp in the drying box, lifts and connects and here is a Rhodian amphora handle that was made in the 2nd century BC. And Moses sits up there and enjoys twice, one that I wash pottery (I always found a creative way to avoid it) and secondly the finds that he loved so much.
