How does it make sense that liberal people in Western countries support Hamas en masse?
Don't you understand what a moral failure this is??

The world needs to understand that there is no war here between two countries, like the ridiculous comparison to Russia-Ukraine that is gaining momentum in the media.
No. It's a war between a Western, life and peace loving country and the same old and familiar Islamic terrorism.

The Hamas members who murdered, wounded and kidnapped Israeli citizens?
They are exactly the same people who carried out the attack on Ariana Grande's concert in Manchester.
They are exactly the same people who carried out the shooting attack at the LGBT club in Orlando.
They are exactly the same people behind the attack on the twin towers and pentagon on 9/11.

And this murderous Islam hates us, Israel, for one reason:
That we remind them of you, the Americans and the Western Europeans!
They call the USA the big devil and us the little devil.
These are people who despise all the values you believe in.
They kill women on the grounds of family honor.
They throw LGBT people from rooftops.
They kill regime opponents.
And you are on their side?? What are you protecting??
The world does not see what is happening here
And we need to open their eyes.

How do I even begin to describe my experience the past 3 weeks?
I went to learn Italian, but along the way I saw incredible art and ruins, learned about the city and got to experience (a bit) what's its like to like in the Eternal City 🤩🇮🇹

How can I possibly even begin to summarize this summer?
2 months
3 incredible groups
Countless experiences, moments, people and encounters…
It's all too much for one post, and anyway each group deserves their own… So I'll break it down 😊

A whole month I spent with CYJ- Canadian Young Judea, and quite a change it was from birthright. No complaints though 😉

During the course of the month I spent with them, I got to know intelligent, conscientious and kind young men and women, in the 17th year of their lives, here to learn about Israel and Zionism, in all its complexity and beauty. We volunteered on a kibbutz, hiked sea to sea, learned about Masada, Tzfat, Jerusleam. The Israel-Palestinian conflict. LGBTQ in Israel. Women of the Wall. And to everything they came with an open mind, critical thinking and a maturity beyind their age.
But don’t think we didn’t also find time for fun- camel riding, tubing in Eilat, art projects and more.

I had a blast with you guys!

Last but definitely not least, Machane Yehudi , a colab of Mizrachi UK and Bnei Akiva UK .
Last year they couldn’t come because of Covid, this year I won the jackpot and got to guide 24 incredible, sweet, intelligent 17-year-olds in their tour of Eretz Israel.

For them it was a chance to learn about our nations history and to tour the land of our forefathers. For me, it was a chance to work on my British accent (which sadly hasn’t improved much).
I had an incredible time telling them stories on the bus- sorry, coach- eating schnitzel and cookies- sorry, biscuits- and taking the lift up to the fourth floor of Ana Agron in jerusalem.

I cant wait to see you guys back here for your gap year!
And of course, thank you Israel Outdoors by Tlalim - Taglit for this treat of a group.

First, I had my first ever (!) Taglit-Birthright Israel !!
When young 20-something (and two 30-something!) year olds come together from across the western United Sates to discover their Jewish heritage and the land of Israel, magic happens. Every moment on this trip was an opportunity for growth, learning, connection and I am so honored to have been able to be on this journey with my participants, who taught me as much as I did them.
Shout out to the unbelievable facilitators MAYANOT: Taglit-Birthright Israel and מסע יהודי It was a pleasure working with such wonderful and hard-working people on this trip. Thank you!

Nahal Kziv may be *the* most beautiful river in Israel. Just a few kilometres from the Lebanon border, this nature reserve is green all year round, has rushing waterfalls, beautiful wildlife and impressive Crusader architecture (the Montfort). Definitely worth a visit, coffee and good friends are recommended :)

Just 2 days ago I was thinking about a trip I was supposed to take to Italy that was cancelled because of corona, and how I probably wouldn't be going for a while... When I got a call from a friend inviting me to join him and a couple other friends on a hike in Nahal Kziv, a 3-hour drive from my house. It's far, I thought, but it'll be fun!
And it was... SO FUN!
Not only was the company great (Hila Madmony Jackie Benshushan Nurit Baruch Yaron Ollech) but the views could have easily been taken from northern Italy or France, down to the Crusader ruins! The descent was a bit of a challenge, but the trail was a breeze once we got down to the water, which helped cool us off. It's crazy to think that just a dozen km from the Israeli-Lebanon border lies this ever-green gem, full of cool rushing water, breathtaking views and fascinating history.
Israel may be small but it truly has everything, and now is a great time to explore our tiny beauty

Just 20 minutes from Jerusalem lies one of the most beautiful places in the country- Wadi Qelt, a nachal (stream/canyon) that starts just north of Jerusalem and ends near Jericho. We hiked the section between the yeshuvim Kfar Adumim and Alon, and it was full of rushing water, incredible wildlife and mysterious ruins that date back to the Hasmoneans!

Now that quarantine is lifting, but international flight is still limited, it's the perfect time to get to know the hidden gems right here at home.
