Dear Group SAOI-51-5331,

What an incredible week we shared together. We met on Sunday as the news broke of three hostages being released, and we said goodbye on Motzei Shabbat when four more were reunited with their families.

In just a few days, you accomplished so much:

- You harvested 12 tanks of lemons 🍋
- Packed 800 packages for people in need across Israel 📦
- Picked leeks and buck choi 🥬
- Trimmed olive trees to help them grow stronger 🌳

After just one hour of picking lemons, our hands were already scratched and marked by the trees’ thorns. I shared the words of Uriel Peretz:
"With all the thorns and plants that have entered my body, I could create a one-by-one-meter garden bed. But these aren’t just any thorns; these are the thorns of the Land of Israel. The thorns of my land are dearer to me than all the flowers in the world."

In that moment, those scratches seemed to mean something more. I could see it in your faces – your pride, your connection, and your love for this land.

Through it all, you turned strangers into friends, carried hope wherever you went, and truly lived Arvut Hadadit (ערבות הדדית). Your love for Yerushalayim and Am Yisrael will forever inspire me. Your decision to come to Israel, even over a year after the war began, will stay in my heart always.

Remember, Israel will always be your home.

(or, as I secretly like to call you, the Chesed Ladies),

When I first heard about an all-women group coming to volunteer here, I honestly didn't know what to expect. I had no clue I was about to meet 18 incredible ladies with passion in their eyes, a deep connection to Am Yisrael in their hearts, and unstoppable energy, ready to work 💪🏽

You taught me what Yalla mode really looks like—picking lemons and grapefruits, packing aid packages, building stairs on a farm, or clearing the way for olive trees to grow. You shared with me your spiritual connection to Jerusalem while walking through the Old City and touring Nachlaot. And you showed me how much hope and faith you can carry in your heart, even after visiting the Nova Festival site. 🙏🏽

You are incredible. You are proof that Am Yisrael’s story is not about those who tried to hurt us, but about the light we have within us and the light we share with the world. Our story is about showing up whenever our brothers and sisters need us and letting them know that we are one. 🫂

Looking forward to seeing you again—these past eight days have been pure zchut 🥰

Exploring Jerusalem is always extraordinary, but with your family it can resonate much deeper.

I had the privilege to guide the sweetest family a couple of weeks ago. Emmanuelle wanted her kids to get to know Jerusalem better, so we went on a day tour around the city.

Her youngest loves adventure so we climbed the walls promenade, and explored Hezekiah Tunnel in the City of David. The older kids had so many questions about the different people living in the city, their flags, beliefs and cultures, so I made sure to include their interests in the tour as well.

I had such a good time with you guys 💞

This tour was about testing how many sunrise hikes can 40 sixteen yo from London can fit in one Israel tour 🌅😂

We got to visit Jerusalem & Tel Aviv, along with Yad VaShaem, Mount Herzel & hostages square. But we didn't stop there. We also got to spend time in Eilat, Acco, Ella Valley, the dead sea, the sea of Galilee, and the desert.

Everywhere we went people looked at us amazed by those kids having the time of their life without hesitation during this difficult year. This kind of support in Israel is so encouraging & inspiring, and it's the kind only 16 yo can give. As if saying yes there's war, and we support Israel, but that's not the only reson we're here. We are here because Israel is so much more than its current war - it's the heritage, the nature, the people, the beaches, the sun, the springs and food and FUN!

Hope to see you again, please wear your hats, hope you'll always remember Israel is your home 🇮🇱

Privileged to be leading trip at these times, with these people at this beautiful country. Sharing time and energy with curious souls who came to explore the colture, scenery, stories of Israel, but moreover *their own* Jewish identity & connection to Israel.

I think it's time I'd share with you a project close to my heart called Zikaron BaSalon. I've been volunteering there for the last 3 years, and I'm deeply privileged to be part of such movement.

Zikaron BaSalon is the opportunity to host a memory of a holocaust survivor at your own living room.

We are at a critical point in time, when antisemitism is rising again with frightening images from campuses around the US. I would like to ask you to host a survivor who will share their testimonies with you, teach about the past and give us hope for the future.

Suits are not usually my thing. Unless I get to be a part of a delegation to the States. Then I’ll wear a suit.

A few months ago, an opportunity arose for me to join a delegation to the US, led by the Tavor organization. The delegation's main purpose was to learn more about Jewish communities in the States, familiarize ourselves with the challenges they’re facing, and gain a deeper understanding of the Differing views Americans have on Israel. Now, with everything going on in Israel, I’m not really looking for vacations abroad (unless it's to do with Taylor Swift.) But when an opportunity like this introduces itself, you don’t just let it go by.

So I packed a suitcase, put on a suit and hopped on a flight.

And let me tell you, that was quite the timing. At Harvard University, we were welcomed by Apartheid week. Our visit to NYC coincided exactly with the 6-month mark since the war started. And in DC, the very first person we saw held a Free Palestine sign. This is a time when anything and everything is a political statement, when some people treat "Zionist" as an insult while others view it as a compliment, and Jewish students at Columbia University don’t feel safe mentioning they are meeting with “IDF veterans" – that is, pretty much any Jewish Israeli citizens.

But all that complexity? That just made it more meaningful. The need to fight antisemitism, internal US politics that nonetheless affect the state of Israel, diaspora-Jewish identity that becomes both blurrier and sharper at the same time, the generational differences, and the echoing question - where is this all going?

I can’t say I came back with all the answers. Rather, I returned with a lot of photos – and a lot of thoughts. What’s my part in all of this? Are Israel's efforts at communication efficient? How can I empower the young people I’m meeting to be proud of who they are? Where should we do more?

And beyond all these questions, a realization: how much the state of Israel truly means to Jews all over the world.

Oh and now I have lots of suits, any idea what should I do with them?

Two very different yet extremely Jerusalem vibes - the old city's Jewish quarter, and the Shuk (Mahne Yehuda market). One is traditionalist, the other keeps inventing itself. One is beautifully built while the other is full of colors and flavors.

You'll never know how many baby peppers you can eat in a day until you'll go peppers picking in a greenhouse in Israel.

Israel's known for its fresh vegetables, juicy fruits and great products. During this past few months we were reminded that even the start-up nation, understand the importance of local agriculture for its success and prosperity.

No matter how far we walk, how much we progress, we cannot forget where our food comes from. We cannot forget the people who grows our food, and the heart, sweat and effort being put in to this.

I would never take for granted all of the people I get to meet that care about Israel prosperity as much as I do. The people who understands that Israel is both innovative and would never forget its connection to the land.

Agriculture=Life 🌶️🫑

Volunteer groups keep coming to israel, even 3 months after the war started, because they know they're still needed. They allow hope to the farmers of Israel, and food security for the people of our country.

It warms my heart knowing that the support just keeps growing.

It's my greatest pleasure sharing my time with them. This January we got to pick oranges at orchards in southern Israel 🍊
