כשדיברו על התיישבות - הוא בא לכמהין והקים עם אפרת משפחה לתפארת -גיא, גבע, פלג, טנא ומטר.

כשדיברו על חשיבות החקלאות- הוא הפך לנוקד. גידל עדר כבשים, שלא פעם נגנב ואף על פי כן לא אמר נואש, אחז בקרקע, כי ידע, לא בראש אלא בכפות הרגליים היחפות של ילדיו את החשיבות של החיבור לאדמה ולשטח.

כשדיברו על הפוטנציאל התיירותי בבפיתחת ניצנה– הוא יזם והקים עסק לתיירות שטח מדברית והביא רבים לטייל במדבר אותו כל כך אהב.

כשדיברו על משילות- הביא את מתנדבי השומר החדש להקים מצפה (כמו קומונה) והפך להם לאבא ואימא ויחד איתם סייע לחקלאים לשמור על רכושם.

כשהצד השני של הגבול הפך למאיים הוא התנדב לצוות פלד (לוט״ר ניצנה), להגן ולשמור על היישובים סמוכי הגדר.

ושקראו לו ביום שבת הוא הוא הלך ונהרג בקרב מול מרצחים תוך חירוף נפשו להציל את אלה שהיו בתופת.
