Never full understood what a lanscape hotel was until staying at // it’s like an elevated upstate NY version of in northern Portugal where I stayed in 2014. Life has a way of bringing all experiences full circle. Hope to be back to both places this year or the next.

Ross and Isaiah invite you to “Be In,” an evening of live performances of instrumental music composed by some of NYC’s most prolific musicians at our favorite secret Greenpoint loft in Brooklyn on May 17 2024. Justin Gaynor (Bestamo) + Keith Carne, Isaiah Bar and Jon Nellen, and Adam O’Farrill trio will all present original and improvised sets through myriad instruments that will transport you into a serene state. Mats and pillows for deep listening will be provided for guests to become immersed in a womb of sound and light design. A limited amount of entrances will be available to keep the environment airy and spacious.

NYC!!!!! Excited to announce 📣 the second “Be In” evening of live ambient music and deep listening by some of the city’s most talented musicians — this Friday, May 17 at 8.00pm.

The evening will take place at our favorite secret Greenpoint loft in Brooklyn, with the address revealed only the morning of. Lineup includes Justin Gaynor (Bestamo) + Keith Carne, Isaiah Bar and Jon Nellen, and Adam O’Farrill trio with Mary Holvorson and Alex Koi — all presenting all present original and improvised sets through myriad instruments that will transport you into a serene state.

{ EAGER TOURIST } It’s been a while since we shared stories on our platform, and we are excited to show you the recent travels of founder of .xyz through Fukuoka, Japan.

After starting a family, the laissez-faire approach to traveling goes out the window. I was extremely fortunate to have the energy, time, and personality to let my travel curiosity drive any trip’s itinerary. That curiosity still exists to a degree, except that it’s rooted in more familial topics… Do they have a high chair? How far away is the spot? Do they have seating for us right now, like RIGHT NOW? Is the place non-smoking? So when my retired parents came to Asia for their yearly trip, our customary side trip took a more pragmatic approach to selecting a destination.

{ EAGER TOURIST } I woke up just as the sun was turning in for the night. So many of us jet and jive across the globe — endless hours waiting, standing, boarding, and departing, with predicable turbulence all along the way until the final destination is reached. Sometimes, I wish I would land in some place completely foreign and certainly not what I signed up for. Moving from places known to parts unknown, just as Bourdain said it. Flying solo is a particularly introspective experience. You barely talk to your partner or travel companion anyway. Every passenger — from that crying baby in seat 11D and the embarrassed mother trying to coo him back to sleep to the elder couple and infamous guy in the back who is snoring his face off — seems to mind their business each in a unique personal way. But those subtle moments of galactic pause and a color gradient so psychedelic can make you wonder just exactly why we are here in the first place. This question has yet be determined…..

I wanted to invite you all to an evening of soundscapes, deep listening and improvised ambient music sets by three artists based in NYC: Isaiah Barr of Madrona ( ), and Jon Nellen

Light and Sound Design space in Greenpoint will be your vessel for entering a world of soothing sounds from myriad instruments with three distinct sets and a short intermission in between.

Comfy puff chairs and spaces for sitting and closing your eyes will be provided to truly absorb the frequencies by these artists.

Arrive early for the best seats in the house. Doors will open at 8PM on Friday February 23 with the performances taking off from 830PM. Entry fee $25usd. 100% of entry fees will go to the artists.
