The Israeli winter- beautiful soft soothing sunshine between the rains and a plethora of wild flowers. This is the Gilboa mountain where the biblical King Saul met his end and the hero Gideon set out to fight the midianites. For us, it was a peaceful day in the ancient land, even though around us is sadly turmoil. It’s reassuring that nature is a stable factor in our world 🌷

Ecotours set out to the big world and now in Greece. This ancient world has a lot in common with Israel’s rich history as we were influenced by Hellenistic culture for 300 years. Today I visited the famous site of Thermopylae. In approx 480 BCE the Pursians and Spartans ( with other forces ) met here for a world famous “ last stand “ …. In our days, I just enjoyed the flowing hot spring water - much more relaxing than fighting battles. 😃🙏❤️🇬🇷

Even in tough times of war it’s good to get a break. Nothing Better than the spirit of the desert to recharge your batteries. One night in a mountain cabin, the next on a motor yacht in the marina.. all to finish with a great 6am coffee and a rain storm ! Maybe catch some floods later !!!! 😃🌈🇮🇱💦
