The Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah, also known as the "Baby Taj," is a historical mausoleum located in Agra, India. It was built between 1622 and 1628 during the reign of the Mughal Emperor Jahangir. The tomb was constructed in memory of Mirza Ghiyas Beg, who was given the title "Itimad-ud-Daulah," which means "Pillar of the State." He was the father of Nur Jahan, the powerful and influential wife of Emperor Jahangir. The mausoleum is renowned for its intricate Mughal architecture, which includes delicate marble inlay work, intricate carvings, and beautiful gardens. It is often considered a precursor to the Taj Mahal, as it features many design elements that were later incorporated into the construction of the Taj Mahal.
