After the announcement of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the states are issuing guidelines for the lockdown 4.0. Delhi’s CM Arvind Kejriwal allowed all essential and some non-essential activities laying down new rules of lockdown 4.0. On Monday, the CM of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Aditya Nath also made an announcement about how the lockdown 4.0 will look in UP by issuing new guidelines to be followed in the state. UP government has eased norms in the 4th phase of lockdown which will remain in practice till May 31, 2020.
Here are the new guidelines for Uttar Pradesh.
Allowed activities in Uttar Pradesh’s lockdown 4.0
Street vendors, hawkers have been permitted to function in the state.
Restaurants and sweet shops are allowed to operate. People will not be allowed to sit and eat. Takeaway and home delivery have been permitted.
Marriage halls have been permitted but only with a gathering of not more than 20 people.
Stadiums have been allowed to open without spectators.
Printing presses, dry cleaners have also been permitted.
All the factories, industrial activities, shops permitted except for red and containment zones.
The vegetable markets will be opened for three hours from 4 am to 7 am.
Vegetable sellers will be able to sell between 6 am to 9 pm.
Only rural areas’ weekly mandis have been allowed to open.
Private vehicles have been permitted to move across the state. Two-wheelers with no person on the rear seat allowed. Though, females can sit behind the two-wheeler driver.
Four-wheelers and autorickshaws have been permitted. Auto-rickshaw can seat two people at a time excluding the driver. Only two people have been allowed to sit in a four-wheeler apart from the driver. Only two children to get additional permission.
Private hospitals and nursing homes will have to ask for permission to execute emergency operations. Security equipment and training of all kinds allowed.
All types of goods, freight transport, empty trucks have been permitted for interstate movement.
Activities not allowed in Uttar Pradesh’s lockdown 4.0
Cinema halls, shopping malls, gyms, swimming pools, amusement parks, theatres, bars, auditoriums, pubs, assembly halls have not been permitted.
All types of social, political, religious places will remain closed. Religious processions are completely forbidden.
Educational institutions, schools, colleges, coaching centres, etc will continue to remain closed.
Operation of inter-state buses with the consent of the states will not be allowed at present. Separate orders will be issued for this later.
Separate orders will be issued for the passenger vehicles. As of now, they are not be permitted to enter the state.
Air services, except emergency/air ambulance, will not be allowed to function in the 4th phase of lockdown.
Social distancing, wearing of masks, important to be followed by all the shopkeepers, drivers, and people stepping out.
