This is incredible
I created another stabilized sky timelapse, this time at Crater Lake National Park. The purpose of these videos is to help us visualize the Earth's rotation.
It's something we know is happening, but is not something we directly perceive.
After months and months of repairs and recalibration, I finally got my astro-modified Sony a7S in a usable state.
The result is more vibrancy and colors in the various nebulae found in the Milky Way's core.

Preparing a woodpecker for winter.

In Yosemite National Park, on the eastern slope of Mount El Capitan, is a 650-meter waterfall. Most of the year it is unremarkable, but in February the falling streams of water turn into "lava flows."

This amazing natural phenomenon is due to the fact that at sunset the sun's rays are reflected in the waterfall, creating the visual illusion of a red-hot metal flowing off the rock.

According to legend, on top of the mountain was the home of a blacksmith who made the best horseshoes for horses in the area. But because of a heavy rain the forge was washed away from the precipice. Since then, the waterfall once a year "reminds" of this tragic event.
