शुभं भवतु ..9.5.2021. Mother's day!
This particular Ananas fruit is matured and soon, it will start ripening to complete its life cycle. As the mother plant matures and foresees its end of life cycle , the Mother instinct manifests itself through the baby crowns that branch out at this time to ensure continuity of generation next. Each of these baby crowns, when cut off from mother plant and sown into gound separately ..they grow faster independently into another plant. But if they stick on to the mother plant, they will be growing very slowly giving fruits of lesser size.
To achieve big, you need to cut off from your comfort zone and stand on your own feet. Meseems that the Indic concept of Vanaprasthshram..i.e. to leave the household (after family duties are done with ) & worldly matters behind for your gen next and move on to Aashram amidst nature (and finally embrace the end of life gracefully), must have been adopted from Mother Nature , what say you?😊🌹🙏🏼

Thats my site desk - overlooking the construction work. Envying my special paper weights?😍
Mango tree canopy giving shelter under scorching sun ..the drawing sheet secured using some fallen raw fruits as paper weights! Cant have more 'natural' set up than this one😅
Two months of skeleton completion target shud help us get to the dangling juicy trophy. Site has its own challenges of the space for incoming materials amidst various fruit bearing trees. Access road was made much earlier to facilitate proper material unloading for speedy ex*****on. The test pits had showed top layer of ~18"thick black cotton soil over the hard murrum/soft disintegrated rock below- friendly for load bearing structure👍🏻. Towards minimising steel requirement - I am planning to use natural bamboo strip reinforcement in plinth flooring to arrest differential settlement carcks. For walling, have chosen Laterite stones over the Rammed earth due to the short time frame available to construct before onset of monsoon. 😊🙏🏼🌹

I must have done few good deeds too (apart from using cement & steel during last 35 yrs of civil engg) to get such an organic environment to work - total shade @11.30am in middle of April😊.
I am amidst professional RESET. Chosing to do things I learnt out of experience instead of what i was taught. I was taught more about world class technology & state of art and much less about what was locally available & time tested to meet the purpose of design. A clever engineer was actually moulded into smart salesman, prescribing import(materials alien to local environment) /of cement & steel from energy guzzling factories, burning fossil fuels to reach them to worksite 🙄. I am enjoying taking small steps - using bamboo ladder, building foundation using local Stones, Laterite walling instead of burnt bricks to minimize energy guzzling cement, steel, sand procurement.
Operation RESET is the need of the hour my friends.. be it health, food & education.... towards sustainable future 😊🙏🏼🌹

Yesterday was गुढीपाडवा , the first day of Hindu way of Life...beginning of a new year!
Being born & brought up in city ..all I knew was to install a Gudhi on bamboo stick and enjoy sweets during meals. But here in obscure village 15 kms from Karjat, suddenly my task of getting rid of overhanging neem branches coming in way of slab work became easier, as quite a few villagers flocked to have some branches with neem leaves saying they needed those to celebrate Padwa!
When researched ...I found that indeed it has been age old tradition in Maharashtra to eat neem leaves rolled in jaggery on this first day of year👍🏻. Neem leaves contain 100+ special compounds that are anti viral anti bacterial anti oxidant. Therefore green tea using neem leaves is a medically relevant and immunity boosting kashai काढा.
Salute to this tradition which made bitter Neem leaves an integral part of celebrations respecting its medicinal properties .. thanks to Naturists/Ayurvedic practitioners of those days.😊 🙏🏼🌹
