Dal lake or Nigeen lake??
This is a question asked to me by my travellers many time , and the answer is in the photos.

Continuing from my last post Dal is one of the most beautiful lakes in India but overcrowding of house boat has defaced its beauty. There are more than 500 house boats within 1km of distance from Dal gate towards the dal lake. It is not a good idea to stay in a houseboat in Dal lake.p

But Nigeen lake has still maintained its charm as there are only few house boats in Nageen, the place is less crowded and offers peace and serenity.

Though one can enjoy shikara ride and floating market in Dal lake, shoping on boat is another experience there but I would not recommend stay in Dal lake .
