Vedam Design aims in solving clients’ challenges through providing sound solutions. Vedam was engaged to offer Detail & Production Engineering service for conversion retrofit project where existing Offshore Supply Vessel ( ) had to be converted to Special Purpose Ship ( ) requirement.

Team Vedam made a list of major modifications/ upgrades that was required for this project. Right from new sea chest to FIFI and foam piping system integration to adding new watertight bulkheads in piping system. HVAC basic & production design to site supervision and entire 3D Scanning of the vessel to do detail & production design.

Major challenge here was to complete the project within a short span of 3 months with entire Basic Design, Production Design & Installation/Fabrication in yard. Time was the critical element in this project, but Team Vedam provided a great support to the client and entire commissioning & trial of FIFI system was successfully performed.

Vedam takes its expertise curve to a higher level. We completed five more analysis and calculations for a client who was absolutely delighted with the results & dedication and expertise of our team. For calculating EEXI, various parameters were used to analyze the performance at a certain loading condition. Since the speed power curve at scantling draft was not available for these vessels, CFD analysis was done and a new speed power curve was obtained.
This helped to reduce the impact of keeping the vessels compliant with regulations and the ship remained competitive for its operations. CFD reference speed analysis offers a way for ships to stay competitive while displaying the true EEXI index.

EGCS project was successfully executed by VEDAM for our reputed client wherein the installation was carried out for one of the biggest vessel in the fleet with an engine capacity of 62,000KW and exhaust gas flow rate of ~400t/h.
Team VEDAM was responsible to execute the project from scratch starting from 3D scanning, concept design, detailed design, class/client submission/correspondence and site supervision.
Entire retrofit was planned and executed with close coordination with all the concerned parties considering operational & practical aspects onboard.

Another 3D scanning and BWTS engineering projects was concluded for one of our reputed client. . The installation was carried out for one of the container vessel of around 3000TEU under panama flag to comply IMO regulations.
We completed 3D scanning & survey, entire engineering package, document submission/approval to concerned stakeholders and end supervision, all of them was executed effectively ensuring aesthetics and practical feasibility on-board the vessel
Major challenge in the project was to meet the stringent schedule set up by client for which additional resources were allocated to ensure timely delivery of outputs. VEDAM’s team of experienced supervisors were assigned the task of executing and monitoring the overall project at site.
sets another milestone of successfully executing a project within over a month meeting customer requirements and standards.
