The below tourist spots of South Andaman district are re-opened with immediate effect.

SOP for inter-district & intra-district movement w.e.f. 25 Sep'21.

Exemption from RAT test at Ferrargunj, if both the dozes of vaccination have been administered & 2nd doze administration completes 02 weeks.

Exemption from carrying -ve RTPCR report & retesting for passengers travelling to Port Blair from mainland with the following conditions:-

1. All asymptomatic passengers who have been vaccinated with both the doses & 15 days lapsed since the administration of 2nd dose and having final vaccination certificate issued through Cowin portal.

2. Such passengers have to produced ID cards/document mentioned in the vaccination certificate for verification.

3. All symptomatic passengers irrespective of their vaccination status will be subjected to RAT/RTPCR test at the airport terminal to aid identification.

4. All other passengers (unvaccinated, partially vaccinated or having both the doses but not completed 15 days since administration of 2nd dose) will continue to carry valid -ve RTPCR report. They will also undergo retesting with RTPCR on arrival at Port Blair.

5. The above SOP will be applicable w.e.f 25th Sept.

6. The same is applicable for inter-island movement between South Andaman and North & Middle Andaman except Nicobar and tribal areas like Hutbay w.e.f 25th Sept.

7. Passengers below 18 yrs. will have to undergo testing as before.

Museums in National Memorial Cellular Jail will remain open till 12 PM & will remain close for visitors from 12 Noon to 5 PM on 26th Feb, 2021.

Important advisory for all tourists / visitors travelling to Swaraj Dweep (Havelock) & Shaheed Dweep (Neil) from Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and back.

Covid-19 UT Guidelines- Incoming to Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

1. HEALTH SCREENING:
a) Thermal screening will be done for all passengers.
b) Passengers carrying RT-PCR report NOT older than 48hrs from departure can proceed with onward journey.

2. QUARANTINE:
a) No institutional or home quarantine for passengers with negative RT-PCR test report.

3. PASSENGER OBLIGATION:
a) All passengers must download Aarogya Setu App.
b) All Incoming passengers arriving into airport effective from 26th December 2020 onwards, shall have to mandatory carry RT-PCR negative test report issued from a ICMR approved lab, subject to condition that RT-PCR test should have been taken within 48 hours prior to commencement of journey.
c) Any passenger arriving without RT-PCR negative test report will be deported on the same flight.
d) Travel to North, Middle & Little Andaman Island is not permitted for tourism purpose till further orders.

The center announced the LTC Cash Voucher Scheme for its employees. Cash vouchers will be given in lieu of LTC for the block year 2018-21 due to Covid-19.

According to the entitlement, central employees will be able to take LTC cash vouchers along with the leave encashment. This cash voucher will be used to purchase products and services before 31 March.

The purchase of these products or services will have to be availed from a GST registered vendor, which will attract a GST at the rate of 12% or more. Digital products have to be paid for the purchase of these products or services. The order has been issued by the Department of Expenditure for payment of LTC cash vouchers.

Central personnels / central govt. Employees can now fly via LTC by 25 September 2022 to Andaman and Nicobar, Jammu and Kashmir and Northeast India.

LTC can be taken for these places instead of Home Town LTC.

Government employees will also be able to travel to these places by flights from private airlines.
