It was such a pleasure guiding our happy, chatty groups of walkers through Basavanagudi's ancient landscape, now made greener and more accessible by BBMP's excellent restoration work at Bugle Rock. Equally fun was experiencing Gandhi Bazaar's old world charm, as we stopped by many of its iconic shops, stocking up on goodies and chuckling at the interesting history behind the names of some of their signature products. A moment of serenity at an ashram made the perfect end to our walk, but not before an obligatory round of bisi-bisi kaapi and first-class dosé at one of Basavanagudi's famous eateries. Thank you so much, all you lovely people, for coming, and making the walk such a joy to conduct!

Our second Basavanagudi trail got off to a grand start, with this bunch of beautiful folks from around the country. We visited the sacred bull in his lair and heard stories and legends of the area from mediaeval and colonial times. We walked through the lush green historic parks nearby, said hello to the flying foxes and celebrated the intellectuals that visited the park over the past century. We sampled the wares of the age-old shops on Gandhi Bazar, and soaked in the tranquility of a 120 year old ashram. Crisp dosé, first class filter coffee and plenty of laughter and camaderie ensued as always, of course.
A special thanks to all you lovely people for coming, and for all the support and encouragement throughout the walk. It was truly a pleasure! ❤️

They say Malleswaram looks its prettiest when it rains! The rain gods obliged us even more by letting up just for the duration of our walk this weekend. The glistening flagstones at the temple, the lush green temple grove, the Nandi spring in full force and a riot of floral colours at the markets made for a visual treat like no other!
One of our walkers even made the perfect twin to the lady in collective's epic mural, 'Swagatha', as we passed it along the walk ❤️
The hot-hot vadé and filter coffee at the iconic Janatha Hotel amidst a riot of laughs and camaraderie made the perfect ending to a lovely walk!
