JOB DECRIPTION :
Purpose / Role
1. Responsible for the overall commercial management of the EPC package contracts in accordance with CLIENT commercial and contractual standards and rules.
2. Protection of CLIENT contractual and commercial position
3. Key Personnel reports:
Package contracts managers.
Core procurement personnel
Core materials management personnel
Key aims and objectives
1. Ensuring that all EPC package contracts are managed and administered professionally and in accordance with client commercial and contract standards and rules
2. Ensuring the PMC contract is satisfactorily and professionally managed and delivered to customer commercial and contract standards and rules.
3. Ensuring contractual compliance by EPC contractors
4. Ensuring that key client relationships and communications are maintained at appropriate levels within the project.
5. Ensuring rigorous commercial record keeping is maintained throughout the project
6. Ensuring that PMC and EPC projects are commercially resourced and delivered to quality, time and budget criteria.
Prime responsibilities and duties
1. Review content and prepare and issue monthly Commercial Executive Project Report to CLIENT.
2. Maintain Company contract commercial records and files in readiness for CLIENT or government agency audit.
3. Review all EPC tenders before release to market
4. Review all EPC contracts before award and signature
5. Review all subcontracts prior to and after award by COMPANY to financial closure.
6. Set contractual direction for Assigned Project Commercial Administrators.
7. Direct the preparation of EPC contracts.
8. Direct commercial aspects of EPC contract tender evaluation and award recommendation including any necessary presentations to tender boards etc as required by CLIENT
9. Direct EPC contract variations and claims to resolution in conjunction with CLIENT contracts and commercial personnel and package contracts managers.
10. Participate in key customer reviews and meetings as required.
11. Participate in regular EPC contractor progress and commercial/contracts meetings
12. Participate in regular PMC Project reviews.
13. Participate in Project Management Plan reviews.
14. Provide leadership, guidance and direction concerning all facets of contract administration.
