Sri Govindarajaswamy Temple, Tirupati was consecrated in the year 1130 AD by saint Ramanujacharya. However, there are structures inside the temple complex which belong to 9th and 10th centuries. Before consecrating Govindarajaswamy as presiding deity, Sri Parthasarathy Swamy was the presiding deity of the temple.

HANUMAN BIRTHPLACE BHOOMI PUJA AT TIRUMALA ON FEBRUARY 16
ఫిబ్రవరి 16న తిరుమలలో హనుమాన్ జన్మస్థలం భూమి పూజ ‍: టిటిడి ఈవో

Tirumala, 4 February 2022: The Bhoomi Puja for Hanuman Birth place at Anjanadri in Tirumala will be performed on February 16 on the auspicious day of Magha Pournami, said TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy.
Speaking with media after the review meeting at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday he said, TTD has already declared Anjanadri near Akasa Ganga at Tirumala as Birth place of Sri Anjaneya with epigraphic, geographic and scientific evidences. In this connection it has been decided to develop this area as a place of pilgrimage and TTD has taken up beautification for which the Bhoomi Puja will be performed on February 16.

The entire event will be telecasted live on SVBC from 9:30am onwards for the sake of global devotees”, EO maintained.
తిరుమల, 2022 ఫిబ్ర‌వ‌రి 04: తిరుమలలోని అంజనాద్రిలో హనుమంతుని జన్మస్థలానికి భూమి పూజను ఫిబ్రవరి 16న మాఘ పౌర్ణమి నాడు నిర్వహించనున్నట్లు టిటిడి ఈవో డాక్టర్ కె.ఎస్. జవహర్ రెడ్డి తెలిపారు. తిరుమల అన్నమయ్య భవనంలో ఈవో, అద‌న‌పు ఈవో శ్రీ ఎవి.ధ‌ర్మారెడ్డితో క‌లిసి శుక్రవారం సమీక్షా సమావేశం నిర్వ‌హించారు.

అనంతరం ఈవో మీడియాతో మాట్లాడుతూ తిరుమలలోని ఆకాశ గంగ సమీపంలోని అంజనాద్రిని శ్రీ ఆంజనేయుడి జన్మస్థలంగా భౌగోళిక, పౌరాణిక‌, శాస్త్రోక్తమైన ఆధారాలతో టిటిడి ప్రకటించింద‌న్నారు. ఇందులో భాగంగా ఈ ప్రాంతాన్ని పుణ్యక్షేత్రంగా అభివృద్ధి చేయాలని నిర్ణయించి, సుందరీకరణ చేపట్టేందుకు టిటిడి ఫిబ్రవరి 16న భూమిపూజ నిర్వహించనున్న‌ట్లు తెలిపారు.
ప్ర‌పంచ‌వ్యాప్తంగా ఉన్న భ‌క్తుల కొర‌కు ఈ కార్య‌క్ర‌మాన్ని ఉద‌యం 9.30 గంట‌ల నుండి ఎస్వీబిసిలో ప్ర‌త్య‌క్ష ప్ర‌సారం చేస్తామ‌న్నారు.
