Manabasa Gurubar is a festival for good harvest, that's celebrated every Thursday in the month of Margashira. It's also known as Margashira Laxmi Puja and it's celebrated in every Odia household. This festival starts right after Kartika Purnima and the first Thursday of Margashira month start (as per the Odia Calendar). In this festival Goddess Mahalaxmi is worshiped, there is a common belief that Laxmi Maa comes to every household and removes pain and sorrow.😇
During the festival, people get up early in the morning and decorate their floors with jhoti for the arrival of Laxmi Maa. Different types of delicious prasad are made like pitha, khiri, and khichdi for the comfortable stay of the Deity.🙏🙏
This Sunday I was getting bored at home and wanted to try something homemade delicious food.😋 The thought of making Papdi Chaat came to my mind and it turn out awesome as it looks. 😌🤤

Boita Vandana also known as Danga Bhasa is a festival celebrated in Odisha. Boita Vandana takes place early morning of Kartik Purnima which is the full moon day in the month Kartika in the traditional Odia calendar.The festival is the maritime tradition that is celebrated as a testament to the maritime trade history of Kalinga, tradesmen and mariners known as Sadhabas travelled on boitas (boats) to trade with distant island nations that share borders with the Bay of Bengal like Indonesia, Java, Sumatra and Bali.
Bada Osha is celebrated in Odisha in the month of november or Kartika maasa.The festive is a prime ritual of the Lord Dhabaleswar Temple which is situated in the island near Mahanadi river.Devotes prepare special prasad during this festival called Tarana,which is loved between Odia people.

Jatan Nagar is the mysterious palace in Dhenkanal, The 100 rooms palace was built in early 20th century by pattayet Nrusingha Pratap singhdeo. The name of the palace is based on the name of queen Jatna Devi. The mystery of this palace is that, it is believed that the palace was built with forced labour. The king who forced his labourers and tortured them in special rooms, it is said that many of the labours even died during the construction and their spirits live with in the wall and now the buliding became one of the haunted palaces in Odisha.
