LACHHMAN SINGH RATHORE FATHER OF THREE MATYRED SONS.
His eldest son Captain Ghanshyam Singh of the Gurkha Rifles was killed in Ladakh in the 1962 War. His second son, Major Bir Singh, died along the Ichogil Canal in 1965 in an ambush.His youngest son,Vikram Singh, who joined the Air Force died in an Air crash. The simple farmer aged 80 ,lit the funeral pyres of all 3 Sons with dignity as the Nation was supreme to him.He had given more to our country than all of us combined.What is the reward and recognition India offered to him?And you & me? We don't even know who they are ! They died protecting us & we don't give a damn.
