দার্জিলিং এর অন্যতম আকর্ষণ হল ‘toy train’ তথা ‘Darjeeling Himalayan Railway’ যা ১৯৯৯ সাল থেকেই UNESCO World Heritage Site রূপে আক্ষাপ্রাপ্ত হয়।সরাসরি Irctc এর ওয়েবসাইট থেকে বুকিং করা যেতে পারে।সকাল ৯টায় শিলিগুড়ি থেকে পাড়ি দিয়ে বেলা তিনটে নাগাদ দার্জিলিং এসে পৌঁছতে পারেন আবার দার্জিলিং থেকে ঘুম স্টেশন অব্দিও ঘুরে আসতে পারেন।বর্তমানে অধিকাংশই ডিজেল ইঞ্জিন তবে কিছু পুরোনো স্টীম ইজ্ঞিনের ট্রেনও চলে, যাতে চেপে মেঘের চাদর সরাতে সরাতে পাড়ি দিতে পারেন খাদের গা ঘেষে এক ঐতিহ্যময়ী যাত্রায়।

This spiral road is located near Zuluk ( Dzuluk), a small village located in the historic Old Silk Route from Tibet to India, on the rugged terrain of the lower Himalayas in East Sikkim. This extreme winding paved road climbs up to the Thambi view point, at 3.413m (11,200 ft) above the sea level. This is the vantage point from where you can get an unhindered view of the Three Level Zigzag roads on the adjoining hills.

কাঞ্চনজঙ্গার প্রতি ভালোবাসা হয়তো সেই ছোটবেলা থেকেই ছবি দেখে।ঘন্টার পর ঘন্টা বিশাল পাহাড়ের কোলে কাঞ্চনজঙ্গা দেখতে দেখতে রোমান্টিক হয়ে যাওয়ার অনুভূতি সেই প্রেমের মতোই গভীর।

এবারের টুর তাই একটু অন্য রকম,শিতং দুই রাত করে সেখান থেকে পাহাড় ও লাটপাঞ্চারের জঙ্গলের আদিমতা,
সাথে ছোটামাংওয়ার কটেজে বসে ১ রাত কাটিয়ে সারাদিন নীল পাহাড়ের লুকোচুরি আর কাঞ্চনজঙ্গার দর্শন,দেহ মনের টনিকের চেয়ে কম না।
আর সাথে একরাত্রি তো রয়েছেই সেই প্রথম প্রেম দার্জিলিং-তাকে ছুয়ে এসে বলা আবার আসব।
